Ive been prescribed the above medication 3 x a day to induce a period i think for when my clinic was me to have a period, as they only do egg collection on one week of the month, they have to sync my period with them. (My periods are regular anyway so initially was confused).
Has anyone else had experience with this?
She said when i come off of it my period will start within three days apparently- quite impressive!
Thanks

Yes, my NHS clinic insisted on this as they said they had to ensure everything started when then wanted so they could time it with other patients and as they didn't do collections on a weekend etc. Basically they didn't have any flexibility to allow for a natural cycle even though I was regular. I was on it for two weeks and my period arrived five days after stopping, which is about normal for when I've taken the pill in the past. When I went private they had more flexibility and I didn't need to take it and could start with my natural cycle, they just said if my period was late for some reason I could take it to bring it on and start treatment.
Great thank you for replying. I was just worried that my period wouldnt turn up within three days like she said and if not, if that would delay things again for another month.
May i ask, when you started taking it, how long after did they start you on the injections?
I had a previous round cancelled when the pandemic hit in 2020 and I think for that one my period took more like a week to get going after coming off pill (just had a little spotting before that), but it was still ok and they said as long as my lining was thin enough by the time we got to injections it was fine - and it was, just cancelled for unrelated reasons. On the next one (post lockdowns) I started injections on the first day of my period after coming off the pill, so 14 days on pill, then 5 days later my period started and I started injections that afternoon. I seem to remember that that was the planned start date anyway and they were expecting me to be on about day 2 or 3 of my period by then, and I was getting a bit nervous about my period turning up, but it was fine.
