No period norethisterone

Hello, wonder if any can help.

I don't take a regular period, for my ivf cycle I was given 7 days of norethisterone. I was told I would bleed withing 5 days if stopping. Has anyone took this medication and not had a bleed after?

Hi, yes mine took 7 days plus sometimes on Norethisterone. It will come but it is very frustrating I know! Currently on day 39 of my cycle waiting for my period - it’s a real pain!

It's so frustrating! Iv not had a period in a long time so not sure how this will work for me. But fingers crossed 🤞🤞

It took me much longer, about 10 days if I remember well. You’ll just have to wait I’m afraid. Good luck!

I believe often the longer you take it for, then sooner your period will come after. You normally take it from between 6 and 12 days so as you only took it for 7 it may take a bit longer for it to come. If you take it for 10 days next time it may come after 4 or 5 days! (I took it for 12 days and it came after 3 days, when I took it for 9 days it came after 4).

Aw thank you. If the period doesn't come do you go back on the norethisterone?

Ooh, I'm not sure. I guess if it didn't come at all then maybe in a month you'd go back on it? But I'm just guessing I'm afraid. Mine did always come! Has it been over 10 days since you stopped it?

Hi all. I wonder if the young ladies here can help. My girlfriend is going through the egg freezing cycle and finished her dose of norethiterone about a week ago. What are the expected side effects. She seemed a bit off when we met last, and broke up with me over something which was not a huge deal. She is yet to start her period. any ideas on what is expected. and also, should i be bracing myself for more of this during the injection process? i may not know all the terminology well, so please excuse me on that.
