I've been a little quiet on here with my own updates as I have been wrapping my mental health in cotton wool a little after the rollercoaster of our last transfer attempts and miscarriage last year. But I just wanted to share some good news (as I don't often get to!). I'm also really sorry if this isn't what you want to read today but hopefully there are a few good things for people with tricky linings, etc.
We went for our 5th transfer on 28 Feb (6th attempt if you count the one where my lining shrunk and it was cancelled) and it looks like we've got a sticky one for the moment! My hCG was "400ish" (?) at 10 dp5dt then 2,728 yesterday at 14 dp5dt.
My lining was also the best it has ever been and we hit... 8mm!!! I know that's not much for some but I struggle to get close to 7mm so it was pretty shocking. Even if this one doesn't work out, I'm just so thrilled something went okay and we can try this approach again. We did have a bump in the road when fluid turned up during one scan but it went away.
It was also our last two frozen embys: a 5 day 3BB and a 6 day 4CB.
It was the kitchen sink model this time and I was/am literally rattling with medication, including viagra, prednisolone, growth hormones during, and it was a mild stimulation FET (so I was on gonal-F). I also saw a fertility nutritionist in Jan and had lots of omega 3, probiotics and exercise leading up to transfer (lots of yoga and some short runs). Something has worked! Alas, I also haven't had a coffee since I started meds.
I have been here once before and so I am super terrified of when it will all come crashing down but I am taking the advice I've seen from some of the wonderful ladies on here and just taking one day at a time. Our viability scan is the day before our previous due date.
Oh... to top it off. I tested positive for COVID yesterday. I feel fine apart from a scratchy throat and luckily there's lots of stories on here of people getting it and being okay at this stage!
Anyway, long update. Sending lots and lots of love to everyone on this crazy ride.
xx

Aww hoop 🥰 congratulations!!! Well done lovely 💗. Great numbers. Just take one day at a time it’s all you can really do. It’s a hard wait but I tried to tell myself “there’s no reason this can’t be a positive pregnancy, and I can’t change the outcome” xx
This is wonderful news hoop!! Huge congratulations ❤️I know it’s nerve wracking but just keep telling yourself that there’s not reason it won’t be ok, because there isn’t.
Aww this is fab news congratulations lovely! 🎉 Sorry about the COVID, and the unfortunate timing of your viability scan (I imagine that’s bound to bring mixed emotions). But all is sounding positive so keep taking it one day at a time. Wishing you the best of luck xxx
Amazing news! Congrats lovely!!! Sorry about the covid - I’ve got it too (although not pregnant) I think we are in good company - even Kylies got it 🤣 - and I am sure it won’t do any harm at this stage xx
Thank you!!! Ooo I am definitely in good company then - so sorry about your covid and I hope you're doing okay? I just feel completely wiped by it and my brain is total mush. Ugh. But agreed, I'm sure it won't harm anything at this stage so I'm relaxed about that bit! x
Thanks for the kind words, Georgya. It's quite scary but I'm doing okay at taking it a day at a time ❤️ feeling yuck from Covid is a good distraction, hah. I can see you're also on transfer #5 and have also tested positive! This is so great, you must be thrilled!! x
Thank you!!! Your grades are even better than mine as a 3 and 4 haven't expanded as much as a 5 and 6 ☺️ Mine are definitely the last of the bunch but I feel quite attached to them haha. Are yours both day 5s?
I also think BC is meant to be better than CB but 🤷🏻♀️
Hopefully I'll have some good news for you about these grades after our scan in a few weeks 🍀🤞 xx
I have a day 5 3BB and a day 6 4CB so it's super similar!
I think some clinics grade differently so maybe you weren't given a number? It usually links to the expansion of the blastocyst so I think a 3 is partially expanded, 4 is fully expanded and 5 and 6 relate to how much it has hatched. The higher the number the better generally I think but 5AA and 4AA are often seen as the very best grades and they could be from day 5 or day 6.
