My friend had an AMH of less than one at 41 and got pregnant ‘by accident’ whilst waiting for donor egg treatment - baby is now one - it can happen but just not very common x
It depends on how low your AMH is and if you’re still having regular periods. AMH is just an indicator of egg reserve, not whether you can get pregnant, but if very low it may indicate you’re not ovulating regularly which would limit fertility xx
I got pregnant twice naturally at 38 and 39, I think, with very low AMH. With low aqMH, unless it is extreme and you are entering menopause, you should still be ovulating one egg every month, just like everyone else. Just your egg quality is probably lower due to age and the lower AMH, so the chance of miscarriage is greater.
I caught naturally in December (whilst waiting for ivf to start) with an AMH which was measured as 2.2 in July 21 and 1 in August 21. It was 15 months of trying naturally and I always used clear blue ovulation kits with the smileys.
I still put it down to the good diet I put myself on (limited sugar, v. Limited processed food, no caffeine, no alcohol), god knows how many supplements and a bit of acupuncture to warm the womb lol.
Im only 28, but we were also battling male factor infertility too, so our chances were so very limited.
I did have blood checks for FSH and LH at the docs to ensure my levels were not abnormal (it would have meant I was perimenopausal), so it might be worth asking for those tests.
It’s possible, but may just take a while and not guaranteed! Good luck xxx
Yup! I have almost 0 AMH left and got pregnant naturally with twice. One at 39 and the 2nd at 42. It just took many cycles of ttc.
I'm in the same situation with my amh levles. Did you take any supplements?
