7w4d and loss of symptoms after heartbeat should I be worried??

Hi,

Well some good news and rather unexpected we got our 2nd BFP after 4 rounds of ivf , this was our 8th transfer, and a miscarriage last year.

Last week we went for our first scan at 6w6d and unbelievably everything is fine we even heard the heartbeat.

I had been having terrible nausea, sore boobs and toilet issues which my clinic said were completely normal. Now at 7w5d my systems seem to have disappeared. Should I be worried about this? I am constantly worried and struggling to stay possible.

I have another scan at 8 weeks what are my chances of leaving with good news?

Thanks 😊

First of all congrats on your BFP!

It’s such a worrying time so it’s quite normal to be stressed about symptoms disappearing. To be honest there isn’t a definitive answer, symptoms can come and go and even more so once your body is used to the drugs you have been on and your natural hormones are kicking in. There are times when a loss of symptoms can be a sign something is wrong but there are just as many if not more times that it’s completely fine. Easy for me to say but try not to panic too much. You can’t really influence the outcome except staying stress free and being healthy so focus on those two areas. Wishing you heaps of luck xx

Thank you for your lovely feedback, the thing is I know the answers but always helps to have some reassurance. Thanks again 😊

Congrats on your BFP! 🥳👏I totally understand the anxiety - I thought getting the BFP is when you can relax a bit, but that’s not the case at all 🤦‍♀️

That said, I wouldn’t read too much into symptoms coming and going. Your body reacts to different things and gets used to the hormones, so they really don’t necessarily mean anything…. All the best of luck 🍀💪 x

This was me - if the symptoms eased for even a morning, or if I woke up feeling 'ok' I thought it had ended. I went for sooooo many scans. It was all fine. Like Daisy said, there's also a lot going on between the meds and your hormones. The scans really helped me and if you're worried and especially if you've had a loss, I don't see the harm in getting whatever reassurance you can but hopefully in a day or two you'll be back to feeling rubbish :) x

They will come and go. And even new ones will arise. Congratulations and best of luck
