Brown spotting at 7 weeks pregnant?

Magic_waiting2happen profile image

We had an early scan yesterday and it was magical seeing the little heart ♥️ flicker! After so long waiting and such a journey it was amazing! Now overnight I have had brown spotting (!!) I have had a bit before and the nurse said all ok but I’m worried! I may try and spread my pessaries out a bit more? Any advice?! Thank you!

Hi Magic, congratulations on seeing the heartbeat!Big milestone! I had spotting brown and bit of red at 7 weeks. Clinic put it down down pessire irritation. Also I'm guessing the scan was internal?that may have irritated also. I didn't spread my pessires out the spotting went away on it own after about 4-5 days. X

As previous post says may be due to pessary usage + internal scan has irritated your cervix and caused the brown discharge Good wishes for the future
