Looking for a wee bit of advice please! I had egg retrieval on Wednesday morning and since then I've been feeling very crampy and bloated. Is this normal? I'm booked in for transfer on Monday - worried incase something is wrong because my lower stomach is still feeling like this.
Thanks 🙂

Hello. I think it’s quite common. Try drinking a lot (water, milk, coconut water) and resting as much as you can…. You should feel better in a day or two x
I've just had my trigger shot, HCG 2 days ago and I was fine on day 1 but yesterday was so bloated and had sharp cramp like pains at my lower belly & bottom (still bloated now but cramps are less than last night). These cramps literally woke me up from sleep and had to go to the loo.
I too have been wandering if this is normal but see that this is on the list of common side effects from HCG (though I didn't experience this in the other rounds).
They say that HCG side effects can last between 10-14 days and I think this is what we are both experiencing but would love to hear others advise as well.
On another note, I did however have carbs (2 slices of bread) late night and I have been wandering if this caused more bloating/water retention. Am going to now try to stick to high protein and low carbs diet, which I think will help.
Thank you for your reply. I read that too. Im just going to drink plenty water and watch what I eat for next few days and see how it goes. Good luck on your journey ❤️
Hi, it's totally normal... Please try and drink lots of isotonic drinks or Coconut water as normal water didn't have the sane effect on me!! And lots of protein. My doctor told me to eat 4 boiled egg whites every morning and that seemed to help too! Hope you are feeling better soon xx
