It’s been a while, but after “getting over” our miscarriage we decided to go again for our 4 round!
Everything has gone ok so far, could be better but not complaining, we are just starting our 2ww and I have been ok up to now and quite positive about things but it seems every time I get to this stage I start to doubt things, mainly the pessaries I am on 3 utrogestan progesterone a day. I can’t help thinking they are not working, all the mess, are the absorbing etc. 🤦🏼♀️
My clinic don’t test my progesterone levels in the tww or at all is this normal?? Do I just have to trust in the medication? Finding it hard and a long way to go yet! 😒
Thanks

I had the same problem and asked for my levels to be checked for my last FET and this transfer. Have no idea if it contributed towards my miscarriages but I just wanted to know the number was okay. I had my tests on transfer day. You could ring and ask whether they’re consider testing you or request it from them/GP and pay for the blood test. I absorb cyclocest much better fine then less messy. Good luck xx
Hi Holiday_maker. 2WW nightmare sounds like! Try not to worry too much about the progesterone. Whatever dose you are on, whatever your body needs is absorbed during the first 20-30 minutes of insertion. Any leakage after that is just the waxy stuff the medication us carried in, however yucky it seems. You are on a big dose, so I would imagine you are absorbing what you need, so probably don't need testing. Good luck! Diane
I got mine tested (reluctantly) by the clinic on transfer for my FET, but also after by my GP and using an online lab - I am progesterone paranoid! I was on ultrogestan vaginally for my FET and although they were messy (I used a lot of panty liners), I read that the progesterone is absorbed within 20mins - that one worked after two previous early losses so must have been ok. I was also on lubion but I think it was the ultrogestan that made the difference as I only spotted when I started to come of them around 10 weeks and didn't when I tapered off earlier from lubion. Best of luck.
