Hey ladies. Could anyone share their experience of using these progesterone pessaries please.
I started them on Thursday morning the day after egg collection. I take 400mg twice a day, morning and night but I am really not sure I am inserting them properly 🙈.
Today I was so sure my period would turn up that it has stressed me out all day and I have my 5 day transfer tomorrow lunch.
I have been using them front end. I have always gone to the loo, inserted them, washed my hands and then laid on my bed for at least 30 mins. It's this correct? I am really worried that I am doing it wrong.
TIA x

I always put them in the back in the mornings so that I didn't have to worry about lying down, and only put them in the front before bed. I don't think there are any massively wrong ways to do it! x
I’ve only ever used the front as this is what I’ve always been instructed. Never been told to lie down afterwards. Just push in the length of the applicator. It’s just about getting them in so the medication can absorb which takes around 2 hours, the waxy coating will come out with time but no need to lie down.
Some tips: As others have said, it is messy in the front so wearing a pantyliner is recommended. Try to push it high up like a tampon. The progesterone absorbs quickly so dont worry about leakage 🙈 You can keep them in the fridge in warm weather as they can go soft. Oh and don't wear your best knickers!
Thank you. I just don't feel that I am absorbing a lot when so much comes out 🙈! Just got to hope for the best and 🤞 my clinic do a blood test to check they are working x
My clinic said front way twice a day and to lie down for 30 mins and to use panty liners to save your pants. Tbh I do my evening one as I go to bed and I don't notice really any residue in the morning when I wake up, however, I'm not quite so lucky with the morning one, but i now pop it in and lie in bed doing my make up before work to try and give it as long as possible. I've also renamed them fanny melts 😂 x
Morning its the same for me but i do 2 3times a day lol its not very pleasant but needs are a must.. i have my 5day transfer today too im going in at 11am.. 🤞🤞 for both of us hunny. 🥰🥰
Oh good luck with your transfer. Do you have any information about your little embies? My last update was Friday so I feel really nervous about what I will find out today. I'm due in at 12 30pm. They told me they would only ring if anything changes so I am now praying that my phone won't ring 🙈 x
I had an update on Saturday we had 9 collection day 8 fertlised and on day 3 we lost one as cells werent mulitping so 7 since Saturday but they said they would call morning of transfer.. but not heard owt yet.. you? Is this your first cycle? Good luck too hun xx
Oh that's really good. I hope it all goes well for you.
Yes first cycle for me after my cancelled one in March due to the virus!
I had 11 collected last weds, 10 were mature and 9 fertilised. On my day 2 phone call I was told all 9 were doing well and that is the last I have heard.
Hubby not allowed in with me so I am hoping I don't have to make too many decisions 🙈.
Hi Fluff. Thanks for your reply. I'm currently 6dp5dt and I hate them. I literally feel wet all day and like af is going to appear any minute. What issues did you have on them? I really wish I had the injections x
The clinic i was previously with advised to use them rectally but they caused me pain and irritation and always seemed to kick my bowels off so was no less wasteful than the messier front door approach. I am now 11dp5dt and must admit although I am tender from excessive jabs I am still more comfortable
I used to put them in vaginally in the morning and lie down for 45min and before I went to bed. I did used to get a bit of white discharge. My clinic said to lie down for 20min but I used to do 45min or I get the chance 1hr in the morning
