Hi, my friend is about to start her first IVF cycle and I recommended Stork Fertility and Asda Pharmacy to source drugs at better price however it turns out Stork only supply clinics now. Are there any other options?
Fertility drugs : Hi, my friend is... - Fertility Network UK
Fertility drugs
Hi Kari, long time no speak! The only other one I know is fertility2u. My drugs were better with Asda but tell her to get some quote as depending on what you need some places are cheaper than others!xx
Thank you! I hope you’re coping ok with the twinnies. Xx
I'm getting ok thanks! My Mum sadly passed away recently but it was a blessing she was so poorly so quickly!😪 The boys are absolutely thriving and keeping me very busy....well you know how it is! Hope you and the girls are well!xxx
Aww so sorry about your mum, so sad 😞 I’m ok though looking after the girls is much more challenging than I’ve ever imagined 🙈 xxx
Asda was about 50% cheaper than Stork (via clinic) for us - plus Stork was charging £60 delivery, whether or not refrigeration was required. But it's probably best to get some quotes as it may be different in different areas.
In addition to Asda and Fertility2u, I also got a quote from The Fertility Pharmacy which was very competitive.
I received quotes from asda, fertility2u and stork and asda was significantly cheaper. Good luck.
Hiya, I asked this exact same question last month when I was starting my first cycle, weirdly I was told we weren’t allowed to discuss on the board only through PM, so the answer I had on mine originally isn’t there anymore 🤔 but someone told me to try The Fertility Medication Centre and their quote was £300 cheaper than Fertility2u (who my clinic use) and also significantly cheaper than Asda. Still extortionate in the scheme of things but hey ho comes with the territory in this game 😏 good luck to your friend, worth trying to save every bit of money you can. xxx
Thank you, my other friend mentioned it too!
I get my medication from another well known supermarket pharmacy (every little helps..) and have been very happy with the service/availability etc. I don’t know how their prices compare to the others but might be worth calling them x
Has she tried her GP? I managed to get my clinic to write a letter to my GP for all the medications I needed and luckily was able to get them all prescribed via nhs so saving a lot of ££s.
Asda are definitely loads cheaper for some of the drugs (my clinic uses Pharmasure) so I tend to do a comparison on all and split the prescriptions. Have saved a few £££ doing it that way.
