I am ordering lubion through Asda pharmacy instead of stork as working out cheaper due to the amount I am needing to be on. However, Asda are unable to source the needles and syringes. Has anyone ever ordered needles online? I’ve seen places called SHD medical & medi save, has anyone ever used them before?
Many thanks

I use medi save and they have always been good. Comes really quick and prices are decent. Only think is it all seems to come in bulk so you have to get boxes of 100 xx
Yes I used medisave - although they were out of stock of the yellow needles my clinic recommended - the clinic said the orange ones would be fine. But I found the slightly thicker needle was more painful and also had some leakage of the lubion, so I sourced the yellow needles from somewhere else. Like someone else said they will come in bulk so I have a lot left! I googled that you can donate unused syringes to a specialist charity, so I’ll be sending my leftovers there! X
I have used Medisave and also UKMEDI (the latter I sourced yellow needles from as Medisave were out of stock of yellows). I am very picky with brands, as you know they will have proper quality control/sterility etc. BD is the gold standard but I bought Acucan yellows and they were fine. xx
I'm on Lubion too and this was my order from UKMedi. I sometimes don't even feel the little needle. Try different places on the skin, you will def find some painless spots. And don't forget to warm the lubion before injecting. Good luck!
Thank u so much for this. Wow I have never warmed the lubion jd have been using them daily for nearly a full 7 month Twice a day. I did not know this! Xx
7 months! Wow! Well then you're a pro! Sorry I must have sounded patronising. I had a ROUGH time with lubion at the start. They burned, the injections site would often swell up and feel super sore, nasty bruises too. Ugh I hated it. And then I was told to warm it up. I put a bit of hot water in a cup and put the glass lubion bottle in it whilst I sort out all my medications and needles. And then after the injection I press down hard for 30 seconds. And I usually use the thigh. The whole thing has been a lot smoother since I started doing it this way.
By the way, do you mind me asking why you've been on them for so long?
Mine are always in my stomach. Which is so swollen and bruised. Of course not, so I’m a HRT FET as I don’t take periods or ovulate etc and after a failed cycle I was only off of them for 4 weeks before starting again. I have NK Cells and loads of other issues including PCOS. they advised to stay on lubion twice a day. It’s cost a small fortune to say the least xxx
Ugh.. I bet. I do my blood thinners on my tummy which is massively bruised. I can't seem to discover any special tricks about blood thinners. They come in a ready made syringe and needle which is so fckn thick. I hate them. And I'll probably have to take them until after delivery. Ughh.. I'm grateful don't get me wrong but I will miss NOTHING from this journey. Let us know how you get on. Crossing fingers xo
Ah clexane? I am on them too once a day I just alternate between each side of my belly button do you? Yeh I hate them too.
I take it u are pregnant? Massive congratulations how’s your journey been? So nice to chat to people going through the same and some advice. Literally only joined this yesterday xx
Hey hun, I came across your more recent posts by chance. I'm so sorry you seem to have been through the fucking grinder. The 3 miscarriage nhs rule is absolutely ridiculous. It doesn't really happen anywhere else. I think someone on here who lost their baby at 20 weeks even was refused testing. Bonkers. Hope you had it done privately. Anyway.. I'm just sorry for all the shit you've been through and hope you're feeling a tiny little bit more normal. I know how heart wrenching it all is.. Sending you hugs.
