Honestly it’s maybe just me. But we recently did a double donor round got the call today … day 4 and there’s only 3 embryos.
We’re just devastated. Has anyone else done donor, donor? 3 just sounds so low. It’s so much money, time, stress to get what feels like nothing. I was hoping for double that.
This journey is sooo long and difficult. Having to come to terms with the fact that you can’t have your own is hard enough without continuing to hit brick walls. When will our back luck end 😢

Try not to be too devastated. I did DE recently and on day 3 we only had 4 but by day 5 we still had 3 and 2 were frozen and one was frozen on day 6. I think they tend to go for less numbers but better quality when you do donor rounds. You are still in the game so don't give up - remember it only takes one! Good luck! X
Thank you so much. I really needed a bit of a pep talk. I think I just got it in my head that donor donor would give us heaps. Unrealistic really. Hopefully we still have 3 in a few days xxx I think I’m just tired. We’ve been ttc for 10 years. 4 years of ivf with 2 negatives, 2 rounds didn’t get to day 5 and a chemical. It’s the longest journey ever. I hope it works out for you xxx
Hi, we used donor eggs and own sperm. We got 2x embryos from our first donor. Transferred both and one stuck but miscarried. From our second donor, we got 3x blastocysts. Transferred two and have twins and still one frozen. I think most clinics don't like to over stimulate and go for quality over quantity. X
Hi ,I used double donor twice. The first time we only got two embryos and that unfortunately didn't work. The second time we got four with different donors and I'm now pregnant with twins. Success is pretty high, so try not to be too disheartened. Good luck xx
Hi! Did double donor las November and also only had 3 embryos from 9 that fertilized! I was transferred with one and so far is good! Had a BFP and I’m waiting to my scan next week. The 3 of them were a 6 day blastocyst.
