Didn't work but want to say thank you

So this was my 4th ET and just tested this morning to find out it didn't work. I had more hope this time as we did additional Lubion injections and blood thinners. Embryo was 5AB and frozen in vitro which is supposed to have a more higher chance. Worked from home for 2 weeks, didn't take much stress I suppose I did everything in my knowledge to help make it work but it just isn't meant to be.

I've got one more embryo in storage which will be my last ever try for kids. I've had enough and will be crossing the bridge soon. Any recommendations or suggestions what to do next? Any research? Why am I getting recurrent implantation failure? 🥺 only 32 btw and never conceived.

Also wanted to say thank you to everyone on this group for their support and advice. It really really helps to not go through this alone.

Oh no I am so sorry to read that. Have you had the EMMA/ERA etc tests? I have seen a lot of ladies have success after having these. To give you some hope my sister had her last 2 embryos left and they were the worst quality after a load of failed transfers never being pregnant and the are now 3 and 7 months old. So it can still happen. Sending you the hugest hug xx

Awww thank you for the success story. It gives me a bit of hope. No I haven't had those tests. I had a hysteroscopy and they said everything was fine. Not sure if it included those tests as it.was on NHS

Hi Sumadi. So sorry to hear this and hope you've got plenty of support just now. Unfortunately the tests that "Daisy" has suggested have to be paid for privately, but could be something to speak to your specialist about. Just hoping that the little one you have waiting is the one to be. Thinking of you. Diane

So sorry to hear this 💔

With each of my transfers, I tried something new as it always helped me feel like I was moving forward. I’ve also had a hysteroscopy that showed everything was fine, alongside a HyCoSy, Karyotype Screening (that’s privately paid for), blood clotting tests and immune tests (also private).

You could chat with your doctor to see what other tests they’d recommend and if they don’t recommend anything new and you’re in a position to, you could also speak to new clinics for a free consultation (sometimes a fee) to see what they’d suggest? I moved clinics after three - I don’t know what position you’re in but I found after three in one clinic, and them wanting to do the same thing over and over, I just needed a change and fresh perspective.

I hope the embaby you have left is the one for you ❤️💚 xxxx

Aww thank you yes I've been at the same clinic. First 3 were NHS and 4th one private but yes I think this final one I will be trying another clinic. Any clinic recommendations in London please let me know.

I'm so sorry Sumadi. I reckon I'll be joining you tomorrow, sigh... Cannot BEAR looking at that flipping stark pregnancy test. Just torture. It's so unfair when you introduce something different each time and STILL nothing. I know it's a super hard time to get this news too. Sending you lots of love. I don't have advice on what to change but if this transfer of mine has indeed failed miserably again, I think I'm going to try to beg borrow and steal MORE money to do some immune tests. I don't know at all that my clinic will implement whatever those tests conclude though! They don't do those sorts of tests where I live, so I'll have to travel down to London or somewhere I guess. So sorry again xx

Awwwww I'm wishing you all the best for your testing today but yes it's such a terrible feeling you have to be so so strong and IVF rips you up, breaks you and makes you strangely come back stronger. Yes I think immune testing is the only thing left for me too. Let me know how you get on and if you have any more information about immune testing? Sorry you have to travel to London too

I would also recommend NK cell testing and seeing if you need steroids or an immune protocol xx

Thanks, anywhere you would recommend more information on that or a clinic in London?

So sorry you’ve had another disappointment. I hadn’t heard of frozen in vitro. When my first medicated FET didn’t work I decided I wanted to do a naturally modified cycle, which I could do because I knew I ovulated monthly (even if you don’t I think they can help you do this). I went for acupuncture and massage and cut caffeine. I much preferred the naturally modified because you only need progesterone rather than oestrogen and I didn’t like how the oestrogen made me feel and this second FET has worked for me with a 5AB. Have you tried a naturally modified and would it be an option? X

Awww congrats. Yes the medicines can't all be good for you. No I haven't tried natural. Everytime the docs want to give it a go my body messes up and stops ovulating!

😞 I’m sorry about that. Have you tried acupuncture? Maybe worth a try if you haven’t

Hello Sumadi! I know how this feels but please don’t give up. I have thought of giving up several times as well but always came back for ‘one more’ trial. If i didn’t, I wouldn’t be where I am now. I am 33 years old and it only worked in 6th transfer. I am now 24 weeks pregnant and below is what we have done in our last round:

1)PGS tested embryos

2) aspirin and clexane daily 5 days before transfer

3) instead of paying for Emma/Alice tests, I took antibiotics for 7 days (doxy) then followed it with a strong course of probiotics which ended exactly on the day of my transfer. Make sure you don’t take both together as the probiotics balances the flora which the antibiotics had killed

4) I took prednisolone 5 days before transfer

5) my husband did Tesa which is a surgical sperm removal as we found out that he had DNA fragmentation

Wishing you all the best in your next transfer xx
