Endo scratch, can’t decide

Hi lovely ladies.

I’m preparing for a natural FET in Jan if all immunity test results come back ok. I’m going to have assisted hatching and embryo glue on my day 6 blastocyst. It’s an A grade but just a bit slower than others.

I need to book an endo scratch in December if I decide to do this but the more I read about it, the more undeceive I feel.

I don’t necessarily don’t want to go through it if it’s painful but then I had 3 failed transfers and don’t want to regret it.

Have you had any insight if you’ve done a scratch before? Do you think it’s worth it? My clinic does it without sedation and it cost around £300.

We really want to try naturally this month as well and scratch mean we won’t be allowed.

Our situation is unexplained infertility and we did ICSI. Everything looks fine for both of us on paper but I had no luck with implantation.

The scratch hurts and is costly, our clinic in NZ don't offer them anymore because of the Pippelle study done by Auckland University if you want to have a read. I did it twice after failed implantation and worked twice so in all honesty it can go either way. What ever you choose I hope transfer goes well and you get some exciting news

Hi Mahriya,

I had the endo scratch before my lucky FET. I am aware that recent studies show that there might be no real improvement in the chances of success, but definitely it doesn't harm either. So, for 300£ I went for it. I also did it without sedation, to me it felt like period pain for a few seconds.

Hi👋🏻 I’ve had two failed transfers and after an endo scratch got a BFP. The HFEA gives it an amber rating as an add on treatment. Personally I am very narrow down there and my cervix is tilted so it was very painful but wouldn’t hesitate if doing another embryo transfer. Lots of luck whatever you decide xx

I’ve had the scratch 3 times (twice just as a biopsy for nk cell testing) and then once as part of FET cycle following a failed implantation on first FET. I became pregnant after 2 of the 3 scratches! I had no sedation (took paracetamol an hour before) and it was uncomfortable but not terribly painful. Good luck x

I had a endo scratch and was fine it was a weird pressure for ten seconds and then done. I took plenty of paracetamol and buscopan to help! It did the trick. The embryo did stick that cycle but unfortunately didn’t stick enough xxx
