Endo scratch...ouch!!

I had my endometrial scratch done this afternoon, it hurt a lot more than I thought it was going to. It will be worth it though if we finally get our bfp 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Can you please explain what it is and how this is done? Sorry for my ignorance!

TTC with no joy for 2 years now. I'm awaiting a laparoscopy so no endo diagnosis or IVF as yet but curious as to what this is and how it helps

Hi,

A scratch is performed after failed Ivf ettemps as it’s supposed to help with implantation. It’s performed like a smear test but a thin instrument is used to scratch the endometrial lining. It’s then supposed to cause a repair reaction and increase chances of implantation. I’ve probably not explained it very well, if you google it there are some useful articles. Xx
