Hey if your clinic are keen for 7 day and you aren’t maybe ask them to explain why they do it at 7 days to help put your mind at ease, it will also allow you to bring up any concerns with them. I had my transfer of 5 day blast 5 days after ovulation so if I ovulated today the transfer would be Friday. Good luck for transfer no matter what day you decide 🤞 x

I’m so confused by this too! As I said before mine was on day 7 previously.

Have they said when your day 0 is?

I’m asking tomorrow at my follow up so hope to have a better understanding of it then. I’ll update you xx

It is, I know. I’m not sure if it depends if you ovulate AM/PM. Also, my transfer day was day 21 of my cycle and that makes me think it’s too late for transfer too.

Anyway, will try and get an understanding tomorrow afternoon!

Exciting times for you though ☺️ hoping I get the go ahead tomorrow and won’t be far behind you 🤞😘

So confusing this, isn’t it? I’m hoping they’ll let me do a natural FET next and they also said 7 days after positive OPK. What I’m thinking is that maybe there’s a different between confirmed ovulation and positive OPK? Positive OPK means you’ll ovulate in next 12-48 hours. Whereas I thought the day 5 transfers were based on when people actually ovulated, confirmed either because they had a trigger injection or a blood test? Not sure if that’s it but the only logical explanation I can come up with. Anyways, keen to read other ladies’ wisdom as I hope to be in the same boat soon and get my timings right! Good luck!!!

Ah yes this does make sense with regards to the OPK detection time being 12-48hrs.

I’m sure my clinic said it’s 6 days after with trigger or without so not sure where 7 has come from 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ll definitely ask tomorrow xx

It’s certainly a confusing one. Clinics seem to have all different variations though on getting us pregnant though 😊. I tracked with opk alongside blood work to give myself something to do 😂 and it was 5 days from that x

🤣So was day 1 the day after you ovulated? I know that sounds a bit stupid but the day after for me didnt count and the following day was day 0.

Also just saw you got a positive result 😍 congratulations! Xx

😂 yeah the next day was day 1. Maybe because my tests were all positive in the morning 😊 I didn’t even know at the time it happened on different days, I actually didn’t think I’d ovulate so hadn’t even thought of the logistics just turned up when told.

And thank you ♥️ slowly starting to believe it now x

Yes that makes sense. Makes me wonder if I should have a blood test to make it more certain. Thank you, this has really helped!

Lovely 💕I hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy xxx

I think transfer is based on the time it takes for the egg to fertilise and travel to the uterus ready to implant. My understanding is that the fertilised egg typically reaches the uterus around day 5. By this logic the length of your cycle has no relevance. Definitely ask your clinic to explain their rational. I had my transfer 5 days after ovulation but the time of day you ovulate might make a difference as to whether transfer occurs on day 5 or 6. Day 7 seems a little off but admittedly I may have gaps in my knowledge...x

Positive OPK Sunday 5am, assuming last night or today I ovulated? And transfer 5 days later.. hope it’s ok 🙈 so scared. I’ll be starting progesterone tomorrow x
