*sensitive post 3 months*

Did anyone get any symptoms from coming off progesterone taken in the first 3 months of pregnancy with fertility support?

I’m was on 2 8% Crinone a day and now on 1 a day which concludes week 14 next week.

Thanks

No other symptoms - think my body is already making enough to continue the same symptoms as I was already getting.

Morning thank you for your reply. I was hoping something would calm down 🤦‍♀️ Just had intense nausea and quiet bloated with noticeable bump already. Wasn’t sure if the progesterone had increased the size or bloating etc I appreciate your reply & wish you a positive journey thanks x

They think the HCG causes nausea but I think the progesterone is what causes the wind and the digestive issues which I’ve had no end of. But when I stopped the tablets nothing changed in fact nausea has now been more intense now I’m in week 9. I was hoping it would drop off around now, instead increasing in more trips to the loo 😞

Hiya I’m so sorry it does get worse I was terrible last week ( worse week) week 12.

It’s defo calming down but it’s been intense.

Yeah I’ve had awful wind at night too but when I have less sickness and good days I also have less issues with windy tummy.

I’ve been awake at night having to eat too which is now also calming down thank god.

C x

Eek! Yeah I thought it would start winding down towards week 12 but sounds like it’s around the peak! Glad it’s finally calming down for you. And I pray it starts to calm down for me in 3 weeks time!

I'm starting to wean off progesterone but haven't noticed any side effects as yet. Just as a side, labelling your post as "sensitive" might be helpful for people on the forum who haven't yet had the BFP. I know when I was waiting for mine I appreciated it when people did this as it meant I could just skip past it if it was triggering. Good luck, wishing you smooth journey x

I was initially on 2 x lubion and 3 x ultrogestan, I reduced down to 1 lubion very early after the BFP. I had the most intense headaches pretty much constantly from early on and a bad stomach (neither of which I have normally) and nausea from around 5 weeks. When I tapered off the lubion then Ultrogestan the headaches and bad stomach finally lifted. The nausea has become more intense but less frequent and not sure if that's better or worse than the less intense constant, but I think that's just normal pregnancy hormones and not coming off progesterone. I started spotting soon after tapering off and that has continued for around 3 weeks now - it stopped when I panicked a couple of times and used an Ultrogestan again, so for me that's from coming off the progesterone. My midwife says it's fine and just happens with some women on big hormonal shifts or just because they're prone to it. It still really worries me but everything has been fine on my scans so just be prepared that might happen and best to get it checked.

I'm huge and have been since 6 weeks - people keep asking me if I've got my dates wrong and I have discovered that bump-shaming is a real thing(!) - some of that is just genetics and how I'm carrying but a lot is bloat. But then I've resembled a basketball since I started IVF meds and I've decided to just see it as like I pre-expanded and had more time to invest in elasticated waistbands x

Aghh wow you been through it I’m so happy your ok.I do believe the progesterone brings on a lot of extra early symptoms I got nauseous from the week I found out.

I’m grateful for your reply and should there be spotting I will know it can happen from coming off it.

I’ve just been out for my first meal for 3 months and despite being sick twice before lunch I’m relieved to have eaten.

Often being sick stops the nausea for me.

Wishing you a great rest of your pregnancy x
