Hi,
I've just found out I have a subseptate uterus and need an operation to fix it before continuing. Just wondered if anyone else has had this and if they had the operation? I've been told it impacts implantation. Any info welcome.
Thanks

Hi there, I also had a subseptate uterus although they just called it a partial septum but I think its the same. I had an op to remove it, and it was really straight forward. It was via hysteroscopy so no incisions and I think they basically just cut it off and stitched me up internally. It was only about an hour long op and recovery was unremarkable.. I think I had spotting for a few days and some period cramps but that was it. I was back at work the next day (although technically signed off for a week but I only have a desk job). So its nice and easy, I think you can TTC again 3 months post op. Good luck x
Thank you so much for the response. That is really helpful.
Hi HopecontinuesIt does have an impact on implantation and there is also an increased risk of early miscarriage and preterm birth so it is best that it is treated There is a very good site if you want more information - tommys.org
Good luck for the future
