I saw your post yesterday as well about the brown spotting and can tell you are clearly very anxious. Brown spotting is really normal in early pregnancy as its post implantation and its the uterus expanding.
Typical signs of miscarriage are red bleeding (and a decent amount) and strong cramps... so if you are not having these you should be ok.
I know its a super worrying time. The answer to your question is that in reality there is no one answer. If I tell you yes you can miscarry on progesterone you are only going to panic even more! The truth of the matter is there are a lot more reasons than just lack of progesterone that can cause miscarriages, so technically yes you could. But nothing you have said so far suggests that you are miscarrying and whilst there are a lot of miscarriages out there, there is no reason why you have to be one of the unlucky ones. Try not to stress and focus on keeping calm and giving your baby the best start in life. Huge hugs and masses of luck xx
Thank you so much for your response Daisy1245 it’s so hard not to stress but going to try my hardest to be Calm and relaxed! Gosh it’s a rollercoaster xx
This will be an anxious time for - make sure you have a lot of emotional support . Take things easy eat & drink plenty of fluids There is a support group for pregnancy after fertility problems you might find helpful wwww.facebook.com/group/Pre... Janet
You can miscarry while on progesterone but you shouldn't think about that. Having spotting not always ends in a miscarriage. I was spotting for 2 weeks brown blood after that red light fresh with cramps. My spotting stopped but cramps like period pain I had until week 13. Stay positive 💞🤗
It is such an anxious time and really hard not to worry. Every passing day, the risk of miscarriage reduces. There is significantly more chance of having a healthy baby than miscarrying.
I bled following my first round of IVF before my OTD even though I was on progesterone so it is possible to bleed. Chances are if you did miscarry, you would know. I had some spotting when I was pregnant and everything was okay. Clinic didn’t even bat an eye lid, it is so common. Of course, I was completely freaking out but everything was fine.
Try not to stress and take one day at a time. Hopefully you will feel better after your viability scan, it was a turning point for me. Once you see the little heartbeat, the risk reduces considerably. Wishing you a healthy and enjoyable pregnancy xxx
Yes you can miscarry whilst on progesterone, it happened to me at 6 weeks, didn’t find out until my 7 week viability scan.
Unfortunately the first trimester is the worst, but like countrychic has pointed out everyday that goes by the miscarriage risk is going down.
I worried everyday for 12 weeks, once I hit that target I stopped worrying so much. I’m lucky as I get extra scans as I’m classed as high risk due to my age snd it being an IVF baby.
I’m now 35 weeks, working towards my due date, hoping she doesn’t come early and that there are no complications when the time comes
Want to be bump buddies? Lol! I’m about 5-6 weeks too and put on progesterone b/c of low progesterone levels and PCOS. I’ve been told the success rate of Crinone 8% (which I’m on) is high so just trying to stay positive and prayed up!
How are you feeling? I ended up being so worried I book an early scan at 6weeks and saw the heartbeat 💓 which was reassuring. I have my 8week scan this week with the fertility clinic and all is good with baby so I couldn’t be happier. I still have no pregnancy symptoms occasionally my boobs are slightly sore but nothing else really, which was my main worry but now I’m thankful that I feel so well and baby is fine and doing well. It’s such a stressful time but I wish I hadn’t (and still do) spent so much time worrying.
Sorry to jump in, so happy to see you saw heartbeat! Read your previous post about brown spotting, I am having the same thing now, how long did yours last for?xx
