Hi , all , I’m sorry in advance for this question , but can someone give me some advice as to what’s the proper way to do it ? They have advised me I’d have to do it through the back 🙄😁 I’m just wondering , how far to push it , how long it needs to absorb , how about going to the loo? I’m supposed to start tonight , just a bit worried 🙈

I would definitely recommend bum over vagina (it all comes back out of its own accord!). They don’t need to go too far up..maybe an inch? And I read that the hormone will be absorbed in a couple of hours, but someone else might know for definite.

Try and do it after going to the loo, or at times not within a few hours of when you usually go. Good luck!

It sounds much worse than it is! It can make you need to go to the toilet once you have done it so try to go beforehand. But don’t panic as I was told it takes around 20-40 mins to absorb.

You just carry on as normal - the heat of your body will dissolve the pessary and the meds will be absorbed by your body Janet
