Bleeding post ER

Hi ladies sorry I’m a serial poster at the moment 🤦🏼‍♀️ I had my egg retrieval on Monday has a bit of spotting after but all bleeding stopped pretty quick not any pain really either. Yesterday I seem to have come on my period. Is that normal 5 days after egg retrieval? Seems a bit soon

Hi Tori If you are taking progesterone after EC to do a Fresh transfer then it should hold off your period so I would contact your clinic as you may need to up your dose. However if you aren’t taking progesterone and are doing a freeze all then it’s normal to have your period. I think mine came around 5 days after my last egg collection xxx

Hello,Yeah Im doing a freeze all, so sounds normal then. Do you know if this will count as a normal period and il be able to transfer during this cycle or will I have to wait until my next? Xx

My clinic doesn’t count this bleed as a period and call it a withdrawal. So I wouldn’t be able to do a transfer on this bleed. However from what I’ve read on here I think other clinic may be different and allow it xx

Yeah, the two times I've done EC I've bled about 5 days after as we were freezing embryos so never took progesterone. Clinic should warn us though, I was shocked the first time as it seemed so soon. Good luck xxx

Hi Torijayne. If you are doing a freeze all cycle, then you will bleed. Probably start next cycle when you bleed again. Good luck! Diane
