*updated* TMI but post egg-collection clot, a worry?

Hi lovely ladies, sorry to be gross over your mid morning coffee and biscuits, but I had my egg collection two days ago and have had a bit of spotting but nothing major.

But then this morning I passed a clot, not massive but little fingernail size maybe. This is my third egg collection and I’ve never had this before. Have any of you? I am on high levels progesterone and bleeding hasn’t gotten worse etc, it was just a bit of a surprise!

Something to contact the fertility nurses about or just random IVF nonsense we have to deal with??

*UPDATE* in case anyone searches this in the future. My consultant had advised that because this isn’t accompanied with other symptoms (like heavy bleeding, multiple clots Etc) that it’s nothing to worry about. Likely to be the change in hormones post egg-retrieval.

If it's just that bit and you aren't bleeding a lot or feeling unwell in other ways, I'd say it's probably nothing to worry about. But don't hesitate to have a chat with the nurses if you're anxious xx

Thank you! The silence here makes me think it’s not something other have experienced much, so I’m chatting to the consultant later and will update this thread in case others experience it xx

I've had this - it was so gross! I think it was about the same timeframe too - I just assumed it was from the egg collection and didn't do anything about it. xx

Thanks Millbanks! I thought so too, but think we might be having a day 3 transfer so thought I’d check to be sure. Will let you know - although it doesn’t seem to have done you any harm, congrats on the pregnancy 🎉

Ah ok - so I had a frozen which is why I didn't really think about it.I'm sure if it's a one off though it'll be fine for a transfer.
