I had my egg collection today and got 5 eggs a little bit disappointed was on long protocol. I like yourselves probably , have done the research into a decent egg collection and 8 know 12 to 15 eggs gives a good fighting chance.Wondered if any of you girls has success with low egg retrieval.
Thank you in advance.xx

Hi I was told when I had my egg retrieval that they were expecting about 15+eggs however on the day it didn't go to plan and discovered that they couldn't get anything from my left side, because of this they only got 6 eggs, I was so upset. 3 of these eggs made it to day 5 blastocysts and were grade A so were frozen. I was so ill after egg retrieval it took me 2 weeks to recover. Don't be disheartened quality over quantity. I wish you all the best.
Hey, well done on your EC!! Sorry you aren't feeling great about your numbers, I know how disheartening it can be. I had 5 mature eggs at collection, 3 fertilised, but all 3 made it to day 5 and good quality. I'm 7dp5dt, had just 1 embryo put back, and got a tentative faint BFP this morning! Quality over quantity as they say!! Best of luck to you 🤞🙏🤗 xxxx
Try not to get too hung up on numbers, more eggs doesn’t always equal more embryos! I got 7 eggs on my last cycle and ended up with 3 top quality blasts to freeze whereas I know people who have had much higher eggs collected and ended up in with 1 to transfer.
Wishing you lots of luck over the next few days xxx
Hey Sweetie, just hold to the hope with prayers. I had my egg collection too today. Waiting for the call tomorrow morning from embryologist about how did it go... with all this corona thing !!! Its quite disappointing to wait... but hang in there!! Once you will get good results way too long to go for the transfer and then pregnancy.. fingers crossed and relax!!!
I had 6 eggs collected, all 6 fertilised and 4 made it to day 5 blastocysts. We had one put back in and 3 frozen. Unfortunately we had 3 failed transfers but our 4th and final embryo stuck and I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant. Definitely quality over quantity. Good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Xx
I had four eggs, one embryo, a two day transfer and I am currently 18 weeks pregnant. Stay positive, as hard as it is to do. You only need one 💪🤞wishing you all the best xx
i had 3 follicles collected. i was disappointed and kept focusing on numbers and I doubted whether this would work for me. All 3 made it to day 5 blastocyst. After pgs testing 2 made it. i put both in and im currently going on 7weeks pregnant with not 1 but 2 babies. I did a scan and my doctor saw 2 heartbeats. Apparently my embryo split and formed 2 babies. I have been told it is a scary experience because they share 1 sac but we have to always try to see the positives in every situation we are in. i strongly believe that prayers keeps me going alot of the time. Dont give up before you even started.
Hey I got 5 and 2 fertilised. Again I was disappointed with that but it's about quality of the egg. Currently 5 weeks pregnant. Still very early but it did work! Good luck xx
Be positive because that's great! Remember it's quality over quantity. I had 8 eggs collected, 5 were mature enough and 4 fertilised into very healthy blastocysts x
Hiya I too was down hearted. We had 7 folicles and they collected 4 eggs. 2 fertilised but only 1 made it to a 5 day blastocyst. We're currently 10 weeks pregnant. It only takes one. Fingers crossed. Stay positive. Xx
First egg collection had 14 eggs 12 fertilised 5 blastocysts...after one fresh and 2 frozen transfers no pregnancy...this time round 7 eggs 6 fertilised 3 blastocysts 1 fresh cycle 1 transferred and a BFP....after 10+ years of married life. Don't lose hope ...only need one xxx
Hi there! I'm in a similar situation, had my ER this morning, 6 follicles and 4 eggs retrieved today. Extremely nervous for the update tomorrow by the embryologist. Not sure what to expect, its my first time.
Please keep us posted! Lots of prayers for you all. xx
Hey, like other say, please don't get too hung up on the numbers, I as hard as it is.. it only takes one, so or two in our case! We had 24 follicles, 16 collected, 9 mature, 3 fertilised, had a loss with the first but currently 33 weeks with number 2 and we have one left on the freezer. Feel incredibly lucky all made it to day 5 and all grade A. All the best over the next few days and weeks!! ❤️🍀💖 xxx
I had only 3 eggs collected 2 made it to day 5 and one of them wasnt very good quality so they couldn't go ahead with that one, which left us with our 1 little embryo which has been very lucky for us and I am now 12 weeks pregnant. As they say it is definitely quality over quantity. I wish you all the luck in the world xx
I feel the same as I had 8 eggs retrieved but only 2 fertilised. I was hoping for more to be collected and more to develop into embryos. On the day 3 update from the embryologist, one was developing better than the other. Praying they are both good enough to freeze and survive the process. I should hear about that tomorrow.
I was hoping for the embryos transfer tomorrow but who knows when that might happen now. Hopefully any frozen embryos will survive the thaw as I would have just had a fresh treatment if it wasn't for coronavirus.
Hi a week ago i was so upset because i have low egg reserve on scans they saw 5 eggs. So i knew we wilk get that number. After retrieval only got two yes 2 eggs only. I was gutted. They both fertilised n i did a 3day transfer im 4days post now. Hoping one sticks. Dont loose hope
