Chemical pregnancy but feeling more confused!?

Evening ladies, So Friday and Saturday faint positive tests. Sunday morning lighter, started to get cramps and bleeding and then clots today. Spoke to GP as clinic said can’t help as natural positive. GP said go A&E to be referred to EPU, they did pregnancy test and negative and then did bloods and HCG negative didn’t say the number. Dr said maybe was false positive, I felt so confused I’ve never had positive before and to get it 3 times but lightly can’t be a mistake? She did then say maybe there was something. Would HCG dropped that low that quickly in chemical? Just feel so confused and said but trying to feel hopeful that I got further than before but have I?

Xxxx

Yeah this was my experience with a chemical lines got lighter, bleeding with clots passed then nothing and the clinic did HCG and said not pregnant (didn’t give me a number either) it does sound like a chemical which normally means embryo implanted but wasn’t viable. The positive I took from the chemical experience was that my body could get pregnant okay but that embryo just wasn’t the ‘one’ 🤗 sending hugs xx

Hi BECIO,

your body will not let you menstruate if the HCG is still in your body. A faint positive might be for very low levels of HCG, depending on the test you used, some are more sensitive than others. A positive is a positive, however faint it is, so I'm sure there was something.

Good luck for the next attempt!

I agree with HopeOfYou, it depends on your tests but if you used a high sensitivity test you only need a really low HCG to get a positive which could easily have dropped that quickly in that time. Sorry this one didnt work but a great start, good luck for the future x
