Hi all, at my recent follow up appointment my clinic mentioned I could down-regulate with Prostap rather than Buserelin for my next FET, if I wanted to. I have done 2 FETs now with a buserelin down-reg each time from day 21.
Other than it being 1 injection vs a tonne, is there anything I should be aware of here? Why do clinics pick one over the other? It (a) sounds too good to be true; and (b) I'm wary about mixing up my protocol when it worked quite well last time.
It'd be great to hear if anyone else has had experience with this. Positive or negative or neutral thoughts all welcome.

I've used both in the past. In terms of side effects I found them the same. Prostap is slow releasing so the symptoms of it are gradual. 1 injection v's daily is a massive bonus. For me though, i've had successful implantation twice on Buserelin and not on Prostap but the quality of the embryo on my Prostap protocol was a lot poorer x
Thanks both, that is helpful! I have a bit of time to think about it but I am leaning towards sticking with Buserelin. Even if only because it's a familiar process and has worked before (although I do now have my lower quality embryos to go).
