Hi guys I need your help!

I would call your clinic just to let them know and see what they suggest in terms of the transfer 👍🏼
On my first transfer I told the nurse when I arrived for the embryo transfer that I thought I had a UTI. I had felt the same as you following my egg collection, and at first I thought it was just general discomfort due to the operation, but then realised it was a urine infection.
They did the transfer then tested my urine afterwards and confirmed I did, then gave me pregnancy safe antibiotics. It didn't seem to worry them and the transfer went ahead as planned.
Definitely give them a call to get some reassurance though! Fingers crossed your clinic will feel the same as mine - that it's not a problem x
Hi Ariel. It should not affect embryo transfer, but you need to speak to your GP to see whether you need antibiotics. It could even be a candidas infection that can be treated quickly. Drink lots of water to keep urine nice and clear and pale in colour. Hope it soon clears up. Diane
Thank you Diane I did think maybe thrush too as that wouldn’t be uncommon for me. But I do have a slight fever at 37.8. Maybe even both? I will go to the shop and get some fluconazole just incase!
I had this with my first cycle and the clinic said I had a UTI so prescribed me pregnancy-friendly antibiotics to treat it. Sadly there were no blastocysts to transfer that cycle for me so I can't comment on what happened then but when I was pregnant previously (a few weeks before my MMC) and I had a UTI and was a bit averse to taking any tablets for anything my doctor explained that they have to treat a UTI when you are pregnant as it could damage the baby if they don't and they only give you antibiotics that have been in use for many years and they know ate safe in early pregnancy so I don't see why they would be averse to doing a transfer for you while you are on those to be honest. If you had been prescribed them by your GP between egg collection and transfer they probably wouldn't even know anyway and/or you might have finished them by then anyway as sometimes they only give you a 3 day course! Some clinics even give you antibiotics after egg collection to prevent infections as well! Clearly not mine or yours though or we presumably wouldn't have ended up with a UTI! Hope you get it sorted soon!
