Thick lining, late period, negative pregnancy results???

Hi, lm 13 days late on my period. Im never late by this much as only ever late by about 3 days max. All pregnancy tests are negative. I went for a private scan yesterday and was told everything was ok, no cysts, fibroids or endometriosis. My lining was however very thick measuring at 20mm and l was told that if my period doesn't start within 3days to go to my GP for a pregnancy blood test. Nothing sinister was seen but a lining that thick can represent a late period or pregnancy 🤔 any advice please x

Hi ShiningStar. You may need to be referred for a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy to see what is causing your lining to be thick. Good luck! Diane
