Late period, negative test

Hey guys,

Looking for some advice, my period is a week late, I’ve done a clearblue test on day 5 and again today, both negative! Any idea what could be going on? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question! TIA!💕

Hi Purple,

I generally have regular cycles but have endometriosis so on the odd occasion I ovulate late and my period will be delayed by 5-7 days. This happens infrequently so maybe 2-3 times a year. We have been trying for a long time so unfortunately each time I got my hopes up I could be pregnant (not saying you are not) but I know how much of a rollercoaster it can feel.

Could it be you've miscalculated your ovulation day and you're just testing too early? Xx

Hi, thanks for getting back to me! I have endometriosis to but never ever have let periods, my cycles are really regular although I don’t actually ovulate regularly, but my period has never ever been late like this, so I am so confused!😔 I’m gonna hold off for a few more days just in case and test again on Wednesday if my period hasn’t come by then! But this definitely isn’t my normal! We’ve been trying for a while also so I’m not getting my hopes up at all, but I just don’t know what’s going on!🙄 xxx

Ah that must be really confusing. Do you have a luteal phase defect then? I'm sorry that must be really tough. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that this is your month 🤞🤞🤞 xx

I’m not to sure, they tried me on clomifene it didn’t work, so I went for IVF, had all my eggs collected and have 6 little ice babies in the freezer! But have to wait until all this Coronavirus blows over before they’ll pop one back in, I’d be really shocked if I was pregnant at this point as it hasn’t happened for us yet, but I do appreciate it!🥰💕 xxx

6 embryos is absolutely amazing - well done you!! It must be super hard waiting now to have your FET and feeling so close. Or even more exciting...you could be pregnant and this could be it. Gosh - you must feel a huge mixture of emotions so good luck. If you can, keep me updated on how you get on 🤞🍍 xx
