This is our second cycle, the first one didn’t even get to transfer as they got me after I had ovulated naturally. So the clinic offered to pay for a full cycle for us to make up for it.
This is it.
Had egg retrieval Monday. We are a same sex couple with no known fertility issues but I am paraplegic and am the one having the treatment.
Well, we got 26 eggys, and had our update that 17 are still good and fertilised. Find out what happens Saturday but they said because of the amount I am not allowed to have a transfer and they have to be frozen. They said after 25 it’s an automatic rule because of oshh.
Question is, is that a good number for us and what to expect next? How long until we can get a transfer?
The oshh part, what should I be waiting for until I panic as right now my tummies quite sore, swollen and tender. Laying down I’m fine but once I sit up I start panting like I’ve swallowed a football. As soon as I lie back down I’m ok as my tummy can spread lol …..
Said if I have a transfer it will make all the oshh stuff worse. But how much longer will this stomach thing go on for and is there anything I can do to settle it down?
Thanks in advance

Hi Charlieme. Oh dear, not what you wanted to happen. Make sure you drink at least 3L water a day, and take parsacetamol for any pain, unless something else has been prescribed. no anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Keep an eye on your urine out put - lots and pale colour. Any dark urine or breathlessness, then you need to be seen by a doctor. make sure you don't get constipated, as poo moving past sore ovaries can "ouch"! Once you've ettled down, hopefully all will go well for you with embryo transfer. Diane
Thanks for that.So to clarify loads of wee is good? Coz I Havnt stopped peeing since being home and definitely more than I’m drinking.
Do you know how long they wait to do a transfer? They have told me to stop taking all meds. So don’t I need to start taking some again before transfer?
Hi. The wee is coming from the OHSS (ovaries). Still drink plenty so it doesn't cut off. Probably won't need medication until day before, so check with clinic. You may have to wait a month. Diane
