Wondering if I could get your thoughts on bed rest after embryo transfer. Next week, the day after the planned transfer, I've been asked to do a presentation at work. It has been in the calender for months. I don't think it will be too stressful but will involve me travelling to get to work and standing for about 2hrs. I just don't know what the advice is on getting up and going back to work the next day. Wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and what happened.

The day of my transfer, I went for lunch, spent the afternoon at work in the office and then had dinner out. I’m 13 weeks pregnant today. The research is mixed on rest - my clinic said sometimes it can be detrimental. Wishing you lots of luck x
Hi Mglove. I think if you have a little rest at the clinic post transfer, then treat life as normally as you can. If your emryo(s) are to progress back inside you where they belong - then they will. Hope all goes well for you. Diane
My clinic is abroad and they recommended 6 hours bed rest after transfer. I lay on the hotel bed and did nothing but watch TV. Next day I flew home so there was a bit of hanging and standing about. It worked and I'd say you'd be fine. I think transfer day really helped by just lying about 'as if you were ill in bed', they said. In truth, I think it's all different for everyone. Good luck 🤞
