So I am having my 5th FET on Thursday (all being well with the thaw) it will be my 6th transfer in total and it is also the last of my embryos from my first round of ICSI from October 2019! It feels like it’s been ongoing a long time.
Anyway I was just wanting any tips or tricks for keeping myself chilled. I never know what you’re supposed to do as some people say bed rest and others say move! I’m in work for 5 hours on Saturday but then off again til Tuesday. So I’ve got a few days to be pretty lazy if I fancy it.
Is there anything else anyone recommends following a FET? I have acupuncture booked for before and after on the day which I really enjoyed last time!
Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone in their TTC journey

Hi Booda I'm also transferring on Thursday, medicated FET with our only viable embryo so feeling excited and sick with nerves. It's my first time so I definitely can't offer advice! I'm currently having my one a day coffee so giving up the caffeine hasn't happened just yet..... will do after transfer, I also meant to do acupuncture but forgot to book in 🤷♀️ I'm taking vit d, vit e, lipoic acid and baby aspirin. I'm taking a long weekend off work but was just reading that bed rest is not a great idea and gentle activities is better, partly due to the stress of trying to be immobile! so I think I'll potter about in between movies 😀 I'm undecided about the superstitious maccyd fries, what about you? good luck! 🧡🧡
Oh good luck to you too! Let’s keep our fingers crossed 🤞. I have had maccies fries a few times, they defo won’t do any harm will they, a well deserved treat after the transfer. Yeah I’ve had all different scenarios following my transfers and no luck yet so I think it’s just a case of right embryo at the right time. So let’s hope this is the one. Best of luck for Thursday 🥰
Hey lovely, for my last 2WW a friend suggested a 2WW calendar (like a Christmas advent calendar) and it was such a great distraction! I bought myself gifts and put them in a box, and just opened one each day. It made the whole thing much more bearable 😬The other thing I would suggest is to try not to think ahead. Just take it one day at a time. Don’t start thinking about the outcome as it makes it so much harder. Wishing you lots of luck xxx
Now £150 lighter after going to boots for a load of self care presents to myself! Haha. Yeah I’m always good for the first few days then it starts to take over my life ‘has it worked’ fingers crossed I can ignore my inner dialogue this time! Thanks so much 🤗 xxx
