Vaccination during IVF/pregnancy to do or not to do?

Hi ladies. Have you done a vaccination before FET or maybe during pregnancy? What's your thoughts... So confused 🤔🤔🤔

I was advised by my clinic to have the covid jab before i had ny FET. Hope this helps x

I have mine tonight, I avoided having it during treatment. I am now 7 weeks and so in 2 minds about it.

I had my first vaccination and literally conceived a few days later! I'm 12 weeks in Wednesday and so far all is ok ( I've had 4 losses and very nervous) I have been advised by my obstetrician to have my second vaccination in my pregnancy- I'm choosing to delay it until my second trimester even tho my obstetrician said it's safe in first trimester .The advice from the college of midwives and obstetricians is to have the vaccination in pregnancy- Covid seems to pose more if a risk such as 1-10 pregnant women are admitted in ICU most unvaccinated also more of a risk pre term labour and still birth twice as likely. To me the benefits of the vaccination have outweighed the risks to myself and my baby. Even after my second vaccination my obstetrician has recommended to still wear masks in confined spaces with people, wash hands and social distance when needed to. I was really struggling to make this decision but my obstetrician really put my mind at ease, obviously your decision, no data to suggest it has any effect on fertility or pregnancy. Xx

I had both Covid jabs during IVF. I was doing back to back cycles of embryo banking and timed my vaccinations to fall in between my cycles.

I actually had the AstraZeneca vaccine because of the line of work I am in so had it early in the year before the government advice about Pfizer or Moderna for pregnant women.

I checked with my IVF clinic before going ahead and they advised it was okay. It did not affect my IVF cycles and outcome in anyway

I would say speak to your clinic and see what they say.

I had my first a couple of days before I started stims (was already on downreg) and had my second dose last week at 10 weeks pregnant. My 12 week scan today went fine. There’s some really great videos from Maternity Action and Pregnant then Screwed online x

Rules changed just as I was coming to the end of first trimester. At the time the RCOM said that the first few weeks are particularly sensitive and you might want to wait til wk 12 but it seems really safe with loads of women having it at different points - if you haven’t stated a cycle then I’d go for it now. Even one vax is better than none. now dbl jabbed and looking forward to a holiday abroad! 💃🏽

Mine suggested both doses before starting the treatment, today I am happy that I did it!

Did 2 Astrazeneca shots in between cycles. First shot in June, 10 days after my failed FET and 2nd shot 2 weeks ago after my failed fresh transfer. Preparing now for my 4th transfer (FET) and my doctor said vaccine doesn't affect ivf.
