Brownish discharge in early pregnancy??**WARNING ** PHOTOS ATTACHED SORRY FOR TMI😣

Hi ivf warriors

I have a question which is worrying me

Iam 4 weeks pregnant and have been having brownish discharge from 5dp5dt

This is my first ever positive and rather than being excited iam freaking out as I read that it could be a sign of early miscarriage 😔😔

Please tell me someone who has been in the same position and has had positive outcome

Have waited for this miracle for 6 years 🙏

I have sore lower back and alot of pain but iam taking cyclogest pessary twice daily so wondering could it be because of that??

To me this looks quite minimal. I had brown spotting that was even more than that and my Dr reassured me that it was normal and could be persarries. I had progesterone twice a day and started putting them less further up my vagina and I wet thrm slightly under the tap . My bleeding stopped eventually . I also had really bad cramps. This was at 4-7 weeks. I’m now 12 weeks and everything is fine. Can you call your clinic to double check ? ( they sometimes have out of offices number ) . Otherwise all I’ve learnt in this journey is that bleeding isn’t necessary a bad thing and could be brought on my many things. If you can speak to your Dr or a nurse to double check that could be ideal.

Firstly congratulations on your 12 weeks 🥳I am taking pessary through my bum and have had blood down today to check the hcg I hope its good news for me 🤞🏻

Hey Hope. Don’t panic. I had spotting - much heavier than yours at approx 5wks and a massive bleed at 9wks and my baby thankfully was fine. I’m not saying don’t worry because I’ve been there and any amount of bleeding is stressful as it’s true it can sometimes be a negative outcome but I hope my experience puts you a little at ease. Hope hgc give you some comfort and your spotting stops soon xx

Try not to worry, go and look at my post from last week, I had the exact same thing at 9DPT and freaked out. The clinic said it could be implantation or old lining removing itself for the newbe to settle into. From the pic it looks like old blood = good.Loads of lovely comments on my post saying how normal it is and sometimes it can re-appear for all sorts of reasons, not always a bad sign. X

Hi hope, spotting causes so much anxiety! Congrats on your bfp! I had brown spotting for 5 days at 5 weeks and some red for good measure. And again at 7 weeks after exercise. My Dr has put it down to cervix being mardy. Had a scan this week at 8 (+3) and good heartbeat measuring where it should! Dr told me spotting us more common with ivf - lucky us.

I had brown discharge for around 3 weeks and two huge gushes of red blood after my IVF and I am luckily now 10 weeks pregnant. They told me the bleeding was caused by bruising from the catheter. Try not to worry at all, I know it is very much easier said that done though. 🌸 x

Similar post I made back in March after a BFP 5dp5dt. Bled pretty much until 13 weeks, now 22 weeks and all fine 🙂

Hiya i wouldn't worry i stain brown / bleed with clots from i was 6 weeks till over 12weeks pregnant im now near 26 weeks pregnant aslong your not filling pad after pad you will be fine wishing u all the best ❤️ xx

Hello Hope! I have seen the same color of discharge today at 8dp5dt and I freaked just like you did, especially that I had blood work yesterday and my HCG levels were good. I called both my RE and my Gyno in panic, and they assured me that it is normal and there is no reason to worry. Apparently it could either be implantation blood or I have hurt myself while putting in the clycogest. I have decided to take from the back instead, so I wouldn’t irritate myself further. If you are on blood thinners, it could also be a reason for the increase of (old) blood. I hope this puts your heart at ease just like it did with me.

I had brown discharge (more than that around 5/6 weeks pregnant) I was super worried but my clinic said this was normal and it's likely old blood. I went for my viability scan a few days ago and I'm now just over 7 weeks and everything looks fine.It's hard not to worry but i think it's common in early pregnancy xx

I had brown discharge around week 6, and a lot more than you, for a 12hour period. Freaked me the fck out! All was fine. You'll be ok xo
