Sorry if TMI - orange discharge 12 wks pregnant

Hello lovely people, apologies if this is TMI... I’m 12 weeks today following a FET (2nd round IVF 2nd transfer) and due to have our 12 wk scan tomorrow. I’ve been feeling pretty anxious for the past few weeks as almost all my symptoms have disappeared (was super tired, nauseous and throwing up for weeks until week 10). Today after going to the loo I noticed bright orange vaginal discharge. I’ve hardly had any discharge at all until the past few days but it’s all been clear until today. Trying not to freak out but haven’t been able to find anything online and wondered if anyone knew if this is cause for concern? Feeling super anxious about scan tomorrow now in case it’s bad news. I’ve heard lots of symptoms can come and go so don’t worry . I didn’t have any symptoms at all ! No sickness nothing so spent the whole time stressing . As far as the orange discharge I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about but definitely mention tomorrow . I think it’s completely normal to be worrying about the scan . Once you see your little baba tomoz you will feel much better xxx

Thanks - yeah it's ridiculous, I seem to be stressing about everything (having symptoms and not having symptoms!). Hopefully everything will be fine and put my mind at ease a bit. Thanks for your kind message x

Perfectly normal to stress !!! Sorry to say I stressed for 9 bloody months x x

Were you using progesterone pessaries? I've heard a few of the ladies on here mention that it came out in orange or pinkish colours. Wishing you all the best for your 12 week scan x

Yes but have been reducing them from 3 to 1 a day over past few days and yesterday was my last one. Before then I've had no weirdly coloured discharge so it would seem odd timing. Thanks so much x

Hi I think orange sounds way better than bright red blood which always scares me.

Good luck with your 12 week scan, please update us on how it goes. I know it’s so nerve wracking until then. After that scan you can actually get very excited and start to enjoy every minute 😘

Yes absolutely - I didn't know orange was an option though! I found info online about yellow, brown, pink, red but not orange! Trying not to panic and overthink things but it's hard Thanks for your kind message x

Thanks for all the kind messages, unfortunately my worst fears came true today and we found out at the scan that there was no heartbeat and the baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks. Feels like a bad dream and I just feel numb and exhausted. All that hope and excitement and imagining what the future will look like. Now preparing to manage a miscarriage. This journey is unbelievably tough - hats off to everyone going through it x
