Hi all, me again. I had a beach day today as the weather has been amazing. I made sure I drank plenty of water, kept hydrated, covered myself in suncream. It was about 20 mins walk there and 30 back and a lot of it was uphill, worrying have I overdone it in the heat
I got home from the beach and noticed brown blood in my underwear😑 has any other women had this and has it been ok?
Although when I wiped there was nothing there, and I've been to the toilet a few times since I've been home and no blood nothing..
I contacted my nurse and she said its likely old blood and should be fine and not to worry but obviously I am going to worry.
(I am around 5 weeks today) xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Brown blood is ok according to my experience. I started my brown blood at 12 weeks and it prolong for about a month and everything was ok with my babies. I am now 22 weeks pregnant. As long as the blood remains brown then you should be fine. Good luck
I had brown blood which went into a light pink bleed at around 4.5/5 weeks, clinic weren’t concerned. I had a heavier bleed just after 6 weeks and was pretty worried, clinic told me to take it steady and all was fine at the planned early scan about 5 days later. I’m 23 weeks now. Like mellyboo has said brown blood is usually old blood and most likely no concern. Congratulations 😄
I would take the advice of the midwife. Had the same thing at 5 weeks (went slightly pink for about hour and then back to brown) went to the EPU who said it was old blood. I had a scan they said that there was no blood where the baby is and my darling daughter is now 17 months ! I know it’s hard not too worry (I had a previous miscarriage, two failed IVF and my daughter was a spontaneous pregnancy) but honestly when I look back at my pregnancy I wish I could have enjoyed it more ( I know easier said than done). Wishing you all the best xxxx
You body has to clean itself out of any old blood to make the space nice and clean for the baby. That’s all it will be congratulations, I am also 5 weeks xx
I had brown blood at 6 weeks. I really panicked but clinic really weren’t too concerned. I got a scan just to reassure myself. I don’t know how we aren’t going to worry about every little thing but just take each day as it comes. Congratulations 🎉
