Brown spotting 5 weeks pregnant via IVF

My first round of IVF and I’ve been lucky enough to get a success. Feeling very greatful and lucky.

My first scan is booked in for the 19th and I’m so anxious for it.

I’m still taking medication such as pessaries until I’m around 8 weeks. I have 3 per night.

On Wednesday I woke up and had brown blood on my pad. (I wear the pad because of the pessaries.) it wasn’t loads but enough.. I have attached a photo for you too see.

When I wipe occasionally I have light brown/pinky discharge. Not all the time but probably 1-2x daily. (Small amounts)

Since Wednesday ive not woke up with anymore In my pad. But during the day I’ve had tiny marks in my pad that are only slightly brown.

I’ve had no symptoms so far but I know 5 weeks is still really early so assuming this is ok.

The only thing I’ve experienced is mild back ache.. I had this during my 2 week wait during the last few days too.

Has anybody got any positive outcomes from similar stories?

I’m loosing my mind and scared something bad is happening..

Hi!

I'm 5+2 I've not had any spotting but the occasional lower back ache.

From what I've read online, it's all pretty normal. If it gets heavier or painful, I'd speak to the clinic.

I started spotting at 5 weeks and still spotting everyday 😞 It is very worrying but I am trying to stay positive. I will have my scan this Friday at 9 weeks x

I think it all looks normal but if you are worried then speak to your Doctor ♡.

I wouldn’t worry about that. I had similar but it increased in quantity over 3 days - at which point I did freak out! I was in my 6th week. Clinic scanned me and showed some small haemorrhaging in lining near my cervix (nowhere near my baby) which I was told was incredibly normal & expected. I was told it would dry up in a few days. It took about 9- 10 days in all to completely go. From what I’ve read here, I think pessaries can also cause some brown spotting.So I have made it to 19 weeks and counting. I hope that can help to reduce the anxiety. Chatting to my clinic about it really helped - So I’d suggest that if you can.
