Hi all, I hope you're keeping well! I wanted to check with you when it's safe to have a bath after egg collection to avoid infection/ any problems? Embryo transfer is planned for a future cycle! Thank you!

Bath after egg collection?
Hey there, I've heard that you should wait at least ten days after an egg collection, to make sure that the needle puncture in the wall of the vagina from egg collection has had time to completely heal. Xx
When I had a terribly painful EC my consultant advised me to have a nice warm bath in the evening. He then even suggested, rather disgustingly by his own admission, that I would try to empty my bladder in the bath while I was in the water (I was really struggling but come on 😂😂😂). I guess advise at clinics is really different, you can always call yours. Good luck!
I had a bath two days after egg collection as mine was a freeze all cycle. Baths are my comforter x
Hi DJ. You need to wait 7-10 days before a bath, and then no soaking. Needle punctures need to heal, and they take longer in the vagina, as it is a naturally damp area. Good luck when you get to transfer. Diane
Thank you all! It's the soak that I'm after really, but I'll try and be a bit more patient!
