Fibroid pushing into lining

Hi, feeling slightly deflated. I’ve just had my viability scan to do a natural cycle FET after our last failed fresh transfer.

Scan showed I have a fibroid pushing into my lining. The consultant reviewed & has agreed 2 proceed with the transfer on Tuesday but has advised that there is a chance this will cause me issues. I am really relieved we can go ahead but I’ve now just got it in my head this ones going 2 fail aswell.

I’m abit annoyed as the fibroid was picked up when I got my 1st baseline scan last time round but never mentioned again & there’s things that could’ve possibly been done in the 4 months I’ve been waiting! 😫

Feels like the issues are never ending!

Has anyone else had this & went onto have BFP?

xx

Hi Inf17. I never get to the stage of Eg on my cycle, due to fibroids. I know how you feel, mine as well, were picked up earlier but I was told let’s move on. In the end cycle had to be cancelled, left ovary the one with follicles was behind of one of the fibroids and difficult to access. Now waiting to have them removed, recover from and after that hopefully start again IVF. Wishing you all the best !🤗

Hi Lacra, thanks so much for your response. I’m really sorry your treatment was cancelled bcos of them.As if this journey isn’t hard enough, life just seems to enjoy throwing further obstacle! I’m not amused lol!

Also doesn’t help I just feel time is running out. I’m 40.5 & the Dr told me it’s a yr wait time where I am 2 remove them & I just don’t want 2 b waiting that long so going 2 have to consider going private but lord knows what that will cost 😱

Wishing u lots of love & luck on ur journey! ❤️xx

I was so upset and disappointed when that happened, couldn’t understand why they didn’t say at the beginning to get rid of them, but yes, lots to overcome in this journey. I will be soon 42, yes such a pressure, we are going private in the end, it does costs a lot, is the fastest way, even so if everything is oke it take up to 6 months to fully recover and carry a pregnancy. Not easy!!
