Thinner lining on 2nd scan?

Hey guys, I’ve just had my second scan on day 8 of my cycle and it’s been recorded that my lining has gone from 7.4mm on day 6 to 5.8mm on day 8. I’m not sure how that has happened?

Also, my follicles haven’t changed much in the 2 days and I’m worried because my last cycle was cancelled. Terrified the same thing is going to happen 😞

The lady doing my scan was asking a lot of questions that were worrying. Twice she asked if I was having a fresh transfer! I’m panicking that something isn’t right

Hi, it is hard when they ask questions, my first one was cancelled as I had high prolactin levels, I found it easier to just ask outright what they were worrying about, I drove the nurses mad with my questions but helped me sleep better at night, hope things have progressed when you go back x

I’m definitely going to ask more questions on my next appointment. I have no idea if my follicle sizes are good or bad for where I’m at in my cycle either. I reckon it was a mistake with the lining because if can’t drop nearly 2mm without a bleed surely? I dunno, so confusing to me!x

Hello

Unfortunately I have experienced this on every one of my three cycles and it isn’t good. The lining getting thinner (along with follicles not getting any bigger) is usually a sign that your response to the medications isn’t optimal. You may be early enough in your cycle that they can up the medications.

What happens at my clinic when is, if the lining has got thinner and the follicles aren’t getting bigger they will check the oestrogen levels. If that is staying the same or rising you get a scan with a doctor. If the oestrogen levels is falling unfortunately they will cancel the cycle.

I’m sending you all the positive vibes.

X

Thanks

I had bloods taken before my appointment and I didn’t receive a call from my doctor to cancel my cycle or up my medication. Last time when my cycle was cancelled they called me in the evening and told me to stop taking my medication.

Some of the follicles were bigger than the last scan but not all of them. I guess I’ll find out more at my next scan tomorrow.

Thank you!

I just can’t figure out why my lining would be nearly 2mm down. I’m hoping they’ll be able to save the cycle xx

I’ve been told different people measure differently. If you think about how small 2mm is you can understand why there may be a discrepancy, but I would be worrying too.

I’m hoping to get more answers tomorrow xx

My lining is 7.1mm and my follicles have grown so my cycle isn’t being cancelled thank God. Looking at 6 follicles which isn’t a lot but hoping for good quality xx

Third scan in a few hours, I’m so nervous and bracing myself for bad news 😞
