Just a little update. I’m currently day 13 of my frozen embryo cycle. I had my scan yesterday to check my lining and was told it was 7mm. They want to give me another 5 days in the hope it gets to 8mm. I had 7.1 last transfer and they gave me a few extra days for it to grow but they never did another scan to check what it was before transfer. I know 7 isn’t bad but I’m just feeling a little negative about the whole cycle and how it’s probably not going to work. 🙄☹️ silly I know but I just can’t help it.
Has anyone managed to improve their lining? Any tips would be appreciated.
The nurse has told me if my lining has approved by Wednesday then my transfer will be around 5 days later. X

I was about 6.8 at my lining scan so they doubled my dose of oestrogen to 6 tabs a day instead of 3. That did the trick and I went up to 7.8 a week later.
I also started drinking beetroot juice 🤢 and pomegranate juice. Eating Brazil nuts and taking vit E!
No clue if it worked. Had me embryo transfer a week later and they didn’t scan me as they said they were happy with 7.8.
Good luck to you. It’s such a long process. Fingers crossed it’s worth it in the end xx
Thank you for the advise and kind words. I will give that ago including the beetroot. 😂😜 I’m only on two tablets a day... No idea why. Last time I was on two and then they upped this to three but I had a day 21 prostap injection. This time I just started the oestrogen pills straight. Hope everything works out for you too. Xx
Hey Londongirl84 ! I’m right behind you …. Just had the baseline scan and booked in for next one which will be day 11 on oestrogen . I wasn’t even told what my baseline thickness just that it was fine . I’m going out to buy some Pom juice and Brazil nuts then if that worked for others !!! Small things 😂 I am still drinking a coffee in the morning but planning to stop tomorrow ( been saying that for a week but tbh my clinic said one a day is fine although I had failed transfer last time and wondered if that was why ?) . Good luck improving the thickness - I’m sure you will do great . Sending you some positive vibes 🥰😘 x x x
A coffee won't affect your lining or implantation! If you want to keep it, keep it! The NHS say you can have 3!!! (200mg of caffeine!) And they err on the side of caution!!
Hi Gatarra, they never told me at my baseline scan either. I think they just check to make sure there are no abnormalities and ovaries are quiet. I drink tea every morning and find it hard to stop. Thank you! I wish you all the luck and hope it works out for you! 😘😘xx
Haha I’m so glad I’m not the only one really struggling with the caffeine 😂 I’ve tried decaf …. It’s just not the same 😭 . Tea is a bit better though in terms of being able to drink more cups as it has less caffeine so maybe I will switch to a tea instead ! Thanks for the positive words - let’s see ! I’m feeling weirdly good about it compared to last time so let’s see 🤞 I did buy the pomegranate juice and the nuts I wonder if it helps ??! Hope your lining gets where it needs to be x
I’ve got some decaf tea in my shopping today, will give it a go tomorrow 😣🤣 I don’t mind the Pom juice it actually taste okay. I’m glad you are feeling positive! 🥰Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏽let me know how you get on! Xx
I’m on 4 oestrogen tablets a day and I’ve been drinking 2-3 cups of raspberry leaf tea since my baseline scan. I read that’s good to increase lining. I think my lining was 11.8 on Monday so I’m booked for transfer Tuesday 8th.
That’s amazing, your lining is great! Can you recommend a good raspberry tea? Good luck with your transfer on Tuesday. Is your clinic allowing partners to attend? Xx
I got mine Holland and Barrett i drunk 2 cups a day and mine lining was 13.5 and also drink pomegranate juice. Eating Brazil nuts and taking vit E and D and good multivitamins
Yes the Heath & Heather raspberry leaf tea from Holland and Barrett is what I’ve been using. Partners are allowed in now 😁. I had a fresh transfer end of February and had to attend egg collection and transfer on my own which was tough ☹️
Oh no, sorry to hear that!! Must of been very hard to go through that alone on the day. I had egg collection in November last year and my partner was allowed to come because he had to give a sample... but my last FET they said no. I asked a week ago and they still said no, so hoping it’s changed. Good luck again for your FET! X
The collection was hard, I was out of it and don’t remember leaving the clinic. My husband gave his sample then had to wait in the car ☹️It so important to have to support from your partner.
I really feel for couples doing it for the first time under these circumstances. We did it 5 years ago so I knew what to expect but it’s still tough.
Good luck for you scan next week. Fingers crossed your lining is nice and thick x
I agree. I cried when they put me to sleep! 🤣 I was just so emotional but so lucky my husband was there when I woke up. Thank you for the positive words!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽 xxx
Brazil nuts are very good and plenty of water. Also keep moving walking is good for pelvic blood flow and the supermarket POM juice pomegranate a glass each morning. I think someone also mentioned raspberry leaf tea ( amazon sell it) i drank 2 -3 cups per dayfrom early in the cycle. Lining typically grows about 1mm per day so in another few days can easily reach the 8mm + target. 8mm is the minimum you want to be aiming for really, as the chance of pregnancy does jump quite a bit 8mm and above. That's not to say 7mm cannot work just there is evidence of more success with a thicker lining. I think mine got to 9.7mm on transfer day. I got my bfp following this dietary advice i am now almost 17 weeks pregnant all the best! xx
Congratulations on your BFP!!! 9.7mm sounds amazing. Thank you for the advice. Good to know that the lining grows 1mm per day, I didn’t know that. 🤗 Hope you have a smooth and healthy pregnancy!! Xxx
What could be the max lining for ideal transfer? I had my failed cycle on my clinic they did not do any test for lining..so is it necessary, I had fresh transfer and with long protocol..
