I’m looking to see if there have been any success stories with having just 1 egg collected.
My first IVF cycle (NHS) I only had 1 follicle growing and no egg was collected during egg collection.
I’m on my 2nd IVF cycle (private) and I’m due to have my 1st scan Monday 17th may to see if I have more follicles than last time. This time I was advised to take CoQ10 & dhea hopefully it works it’s magic.
I’m 36, with a very low AMH, I’m trying to be positive but it’s so hard xxx
Hey I don’t have any advice but in a similar situation have 2 and one way behind! I am on day 10. Let’s hope for a miracle x
They say they only need to find one good egg, but it’s disheartening when you don’t have many to choose from. Wish you have some luck hun, please keep me posted on your journey xx
Can I ask what your AMH levels are? X
The last time I had it tested over a year ago it was 2.7, I’m having it tested again Monday it’s prob gone down now , what was yours? X
2.7 is very good for a woman of your age struggling with infertility. Take heart. Hopefully the meds will increase the follicle count. I’m rooting for you! ❤️
My friend, on two occasions, only got 3 eggs and only one in each cycle fertilised. Now had two kids. She was older than 36 at the time (she’d had another unsuccessful rounds with a other doctor).
I had a few follicles but all was empty other than 1! I had 1 egg collected and I’m now 21 weeks pregnant with that 1 egg so it is possible! Good luck to you xx

Hi. With my first cycle I only had one follicle and 1 egg. It became a 4aa blast and I had a 5 day transfer. Unfortunately it ended up as a bfn but there's so much good to take from it that we're going again in about 6 weeks. I had been on coq10 and dhea for 4 months, I do think that it helped.
Hey, I am very similar to you. In March last year I had no eggs retrieved out of three follicles. I was just turning 36. I start ubiquinol and dhea and in October I had three follicles, three embryos and got pregnant however ended in miscarriage. In January I had a cycle with one follicle, one embryo but it didn't take. I am now 37 and just had another cycle where I had three follicles and ended in one embryo. We are waiting to see today if our embryo has survived to go ahead with freezing. It can get discouraging to say the least but I have read of people going on to get pregnant with one so we are holding onto that hope. In my successful cycle I had done accupuncture. I didn't do it this time but in my next cycle I am going to try it again as I have read it may also help and it may have helped me whe. I was successful. We got an embryo and it's been frozen. There are so many people with positive stories of one egg resulting in success so I think there is hope for us 🙂
That’s fantastic , if you don’t mind me asking why are they freezing it instead of transferring it straight away ? I have never got that far so I don’t know what happens at that stage xX
In my case it's cause I had a hysteroscopy and I need to recover from it before the transfer. They did the hysteroscopy to try prevent another miscarriage.

With the state of technology, freezing blastos with later transfer has a better outcome. The delay let’s your body normalize after being overwhelmed by stim meds.
I was 36 on my 1st IVF with 4 follicles growing but they only retrieved 1 egg. I was sure it wouldn't work and was planning the next round of IVF. Did a day 3 transfer, that 1 egg is a 3 year old now!! Only takes one egg 😀

I’m 41, AMH of 2.1 I only had 1 egg ,had a 2 day transfer..... im early days but I’m pregnant! Please believe in yourself and remind yourself that you are capable and this is you’re time xx

Hi IVF first cycle, I am going through the same at the moment, I have egg collection tomorrow (private) i have an AMH 10.6..but responded poorly. I have 2 follicles both 16mm.. I was given the option to cancel the cycle. But my consultant said it only takes one to have a good egg. I decided to continue with the collection. 🙏

I had my collection this morning 1 egg, hoping and praying it is good quality and fertilises if not..it will be cycle number 2. Positivity helps me! I know I will be a mother one day 🥰

Embryologist will call me tomorrow. I think then it’s a waiting game from there if it fertilises. Embryo transfer Wednesday if my we singleton makes it

I got a quality 3 AB which is good quality the embryo is transferred l. The lady beside me only had 4 eggs and 1 fertilised so it’s defo quality over quantity

Thank you so much I’m based on Northern Ireland.. in-ovo fertitly clinic! It’s relatively new but DR Diakos is fabulous! He previously worked in Dublin and England but this is his own clinic now x

I am not sure if it’s my pessaries or if I’m imagining things but my breasts are tender and cramping a little.. according to google this is implantation signs but I will be hopeful and believe that this will work. Positive vibes 🥰

How long have you been in the dhea abs coq10? I’m 38 but when I was 37 with low amh only had two follicles but one turned into a pregnancy, miscarried but saw the “process” as a success. It only takes one and you just have to keep rolling the dice. Keep us posted on how you go and best of luck!
I’ve been taking them since feb, my scan Monday will give me an indication on how many follicles I have and then a week after to see If they have grown x

Though I wasn’t one egg collected I did have low numbers on my last two round 4 first round then 3 second round. Just wanted to say I am at BCRM in Bristol too x

I just had egg collection yesterday had one egg collected so feeling disappointed today they said it has fertilised but showing signs it might not make it but will know in next few days. Emotional rollercoaster x

I’m doing ok, I’m really nervous for tomorrow, I got egg collection , but with only one follicle growing my chances are very slim, less than 5% chance of success . It’s hRd to be positive, but as they say it only takes one egg. I’ve cut out coffee, drinking, I’ve been taking CoQ10 & dhea , plus vitabiotics. I know I’ve given it my best shot no matter what happens. X
Hope tomorrow goes well. Not sure you will see this now but make sure you have a drink in morning before your cut off time as I think I got dehydrated on previous round. The recovery nurses were lovely yesterday when I went into BCRM. Let me know how you get on. How much CoQ10 were you taking? My Dr there told me to take DHEA too. X
Thanks hun, I will make sure I have a drink, I woke up early, I’m so nervous. I’m on 600 of CoQ10 and 75 of Dhea. I got my CoQ10 from Amazon and dhea from biovea online, I’ve been taking them since feb, but only one follicle. I think they help with quality more than anything. But I’ll keep you posted! Xx

Waiting more news today mixed news yesterday they were trying to warn us it might not progress.
I am older than you but similar in that we don’t want to do egg donation really but I know if this doesn’t work they will try and persuade me. I only have one more chance we have one more frozen sample from husband.

Just had egg collection, miraculously they collected 3 eggs, even though only one follicle was growing. However, sizes were 20mm/14mm and 10mm so it’s unlikely the smallest ones will be mature enough. We find out more later when the embryologist calls. I’m in shock, I wasn’t expecting any eggs like last time , more hurdles to get through but I’m further this time than last time xx

not sure if you are asking me or Gemma unfortunately I don’t. It was a long emotional journey and we did try embryo donation but wasn’t successful. Hope you are okay and your journey is successful x
First cycle 3 follies , 3 fertilised and 2 blasts ended in MC, second cycle converted to IUI BFN, third cycle only 1 lead 14mm and 2 12.5mm and 11.5mm but don't seem to be growing so looking like collecting one egg on Mobday .. praying for a miracle
