Hi all! Really needing to hear some success stories š¤š¤š¤ if anyone is willing to share theirs?
We originally got pregnant in 2018 which ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks. We then couldnāt conceive and started IVF in 2021 (COVID held us back). Our first cycle produced 2 embryos. The fresh transfer worked but then I found out I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. I then had a FET which worked but then I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. After this we had another fresh cycle which got cancelled the day before my egg retrieval because I had a positive covid test. Weāve since had another fresh round of treatment and got 3 embryos. The first 2 didnāt work. I am currently waiting for my next FET for the 3rd embryo this week. Iām trying so hard to be positive but as you all know, itās really hard! I just could really do with a success story from someone who has been through something similar. When I google this, I get articles such as ālife without childrenā or on adoption. Neither are options Iām ready for as Iām not ready To give up on my dream to carry my own child.
Thanks for reading xxx

hello how are you? Sorry youāre going through this. The journey is sooo tough. Have you had the embryos tested for chromosome abnormalities? We had a batch of embryos and we were transferring and they werenāt working. Chemicals ā¦ā¦ bfns. Turned out when they were tested they were all abnormal so none of them would have worked. We were so glad we got them checked as it saved the heartache of more transfers xxx
So sorry to hear of your losses.IV F can be so cruel. I suffered two early miscarriages as-well. Due to my age,the NHS were willing to test me for any conditions I may have that could have been contributing to the early losses ( they usually only test after three miscarriages).
I was found to have two blood clotting conditions. If you've not already had these tests done, please request them. They check for thyroid problems, lupus ,blood clotting conditions etc
As the other post mentioned, you can also have your embryos tested.
My private clinic changed my protocol, advised me to take Q10 and omega 3 and the quality (although not quantity ) of my eggs improved. My little girl is now three months old (fifth transfer).
thank you - itās so good to hear success stories. I should have said - I have had the tests done for recurrent miscarriages and they didnāt find any reasons. Thanks for replying.
Hello, I am sorry your journey is so difficult. I had two miscarriages too before starting ivf. I believe 3 early miscarriages classify as recurrent loss and further investigation should be done before you transfer more embryos. I would be looking for a recurrent miscarriage consultant to speak to. All the best xxx
thanks you - I should have added in my original post that I have had testing done and they couldnāt find an explanation for why I had my miscarriages. X
Iām so sorry youāre going through this. My journey is a bit different, so may not be helpful, but I have a good friend who went through 6 embryos transfers - 3 BFNs, 3 early miscarriages (within first 10 weeks). Then embryo no. 7 gave her a gorgeous and healthy little boy!! So it can definitely happen, donāt lose hope šš«
