Day 9 stims. Follicle check. Advice please x

Hi, can someone please give advice. My wife went for her Internal scan today, day 9 of stims.

Initially they said she should be ready by Friday for egg retrieval, but her follciles are growing slower than planned. She is on a lower dose this time as her previous cycle she was overstimulated. They said hopefully she should be ready by Monday.

I have attached a picture of her report. Any feedback would be really helpful please x

Wow that's a lot of follicles! They are right to keep the dosage low as she would be very likely to have OHSS with those. I would imagine some of the smaller ones will catch up this week so I wouldn't worry. Are you planning a fresh transfer or freeze all? Good luck! xx

I know her ovaries are polystic in appearance but she doesn't have the syndrome. The previous cylce she had mild OHSS, the day of retrieval she was in so much pain she could barely walk. She was so worried about that happening again this time, so they have put her on the lowest dose 150 gonal F.

She's worried that the follciles on the left side won't catch up. Hoping they will

Planning on freezing all.. we are going through intra partner IVF. I plan on carrying the embryos😊 xx

In my experience they do seem to catch up - not all of them will but some most likely My last cycle they saw 6 on baseline scan - they collected 14.... so you just never know.

I think she will be ready by Monday. I am also a very good low dose responder. I also don’t have the syndrome, I am just able to produce many eggs . Do you know what trigger she will be using? On my first cycle they used ovitrelle and I had OHSS, very painful, horrible experience. On my next 2 ones they used decapeptyl as it lowers the risk of OHSS and I was absolutely fine despite large number retrieved. I was able to enjoy the rest of my day after procedure, no pain at all x Good luck with your cycle 🤞🏻

Hopefully she will be ready by Monday 😊 that would be day 14 then. I don't know how much longer they could leave it? Is there a certain amount of time you can be on the injections ?

Do you know how many days you were on stims before retrieval ?

The trigger she will be using is Suprecur

Awww really. That sounds awful ☹️ Id imagine OHSS is very painful ☹️
