Donor cycle due to commence

Hi everyone,

I haven’t posted on here for a while as I took some time away.

Now I’m back and about to commence a donor egg cycle. My little sister is our donor.

Has anyone used a known donor? I am a bit anxious about the pressure on us all for this to work. My sister has an amazing AMH of over 40 at 30 and has a little boy and wasn’t trying to conceive so we joke that she was blessed with all the good fertility I didn’t get.

I have had the ERA test done and was found to have a bad bacterial infection which has been resolved so glad I had it done.

Tomorrow is our treatment information appointment so we know the full plans tomorrow.

Katrina, I'm doing the same in August, my little sister is donating also!

I've just started the process, got the info pack today and my sis will be having a 1:1 virtually with my consultant hopefully this or next week.

Same as you, my sis has a great AMH, 35 at 34!

Are you doing a timed fresh transfer? I'm trying to decide what's best for us as my sis is coming over from America so there are some extra logistics.

Hey Sharon - I'm doing August (was hoping to get June but didn't manage to complete everything in time) - so I'll be a month after you! Did you get all your donor forms signed off etc??

Yea, I got the donor form filled, also doing a timed embryo transfer. They starting me with leuprotide today.

My sister was my donor last summer, we got 4 good blasts. First one failed and second one is 26 weeks today in our surrogate! It’s really special having a known donor, especially your sister xx

It’s such an amazing thing she has done for us and I will never be able to thank her enough. Just got to pray it works now xx
