The vaccine is not recommended for pregnant women.
I’m pregnant it’s not down to my age group yet so not been asked to have it. I still don’t think they offer it to pregnant women. I wouldn’t have it anyways I don’t feel at all at risk from covid the infection rate is so low & I still have minimal contact with other people & everyone in my house gets tested from work/school all but me.
I haven't had the injection although I could do via work as I work in the NHS. My Maty clinic hasnt offered it either even although they offer the usual flu vaccination so it's not routine yet and to be honest I'm not that worried about catching covid.xx
I’ve been looking at this.. As others have said it’s not routinely offered but it is to pregnant health & social care workers and those who have serious underlying issues. The Royal College of obstetricians & gynaecologists have a useful Q&A with latest advice. Basically say that the vaccine hasn’t yet been tested on pregnant women but there there is nothing in there that could harm mum or baby. They say it’s down to individuals if they want it but mat services will need to do an individualised risk assessment and record outcome to national database. My midwife said decision would need to be made along with my consultant, this is guidance from RC of Midwives too. 2nd trimester considered to be safest option. JCVI also updated advice start of the year to say no need to delay TTC or stop breastfeeding if you’ve had it.
Phew. That’s all the info I have! 🤓
(I really wanted to have it but don’t plan to now as no safety/ efficacy data available )
I’m sure I’ve just read the Astra one is showing to be related to blood clots and are going to offer under 30’s a different one. So I’d wait unless you’re very high risk health wise.

Yeah it’s been stopped for under 30s (sadly I’m older). I didn’t mention the clotting issue because the link has not been conclusively proven and the benefits still outweigh the risk (4 in 1 milllion!) but it’s becoming clear that the Oxford vax carries some risk for younger folk. Anyway I don’t plan to have it as I’m in my first trimester and it isn’t going to to be offered to me anyway 😊
