I got a call about 2 and a half weeks after we met with the consultant to say funding had been approved for our first cycle

Did u have to have tests after seeing the consultant before you got approved?

We had some tests last September but because I’ve had a laparoscopy inbetween then and now, I think that delayed things a bit. We’ve got to redo the tests because they were more than a year ago. I got called to say our funding was approved, but paperwork would only go through once results were back from these tests. Hope that makes sense

Hey hun.

I can share my experience. My fertility doctor send me for all required tests before sending the referral out cause she said this will reduce the waiting times with the clinic. We had the final appointment beginning of September, my nhs doctor send the request for funding around 15th September and i got the call that the funding is approved on 21st September. Had my first appointment with the clinic October and they just checked the ovarian reserve and did a baseline scan.

I was due to start treatment end of November but AF was 2 days lateand couldn't fit all appointments before Xmas.

As far as i know mainly the requiremen for BMI is up to 30 is it really 25 where you live?

To be honest everything worked out quicker than i thought and both nhs doctorsand the clinic we picked they are all fantastic.

Wishing you best of luck and hopefully is quick and successful journey 😍😍😍xxx

I went from first appointment to approved in less than a week, and then started stimming the following week (was pleasantly surprised!). My BMI is 27, they didn't even weigh me or ask though! The nurse just eyeballed it and informed me that my weight was fine! Good luck xx
