Tests all coming back perfectly healthy...where to go from here? 🤔

We have male infertility issues but nothing worked in our first cycle so it was time to throw the kitchen sink at us in regards to testing for problems.

So I have had a barrage of tests in the last month from PET scans to a laparoscopy and multiple biopsies. Everything is coming back as picture perfect. 🤷‍♀️My laparoscopy found one itsy bitsy fibroid that they didn't remove as it would cause possible scar tissue bigger than the fibroid and it was in an unimportant place. No endo. No PCOS. No growths secreting problematic hormones. Nothing twisted, clogged or pressing against the wrong thing anywhere in my abdomen. No natural high kill cells. My womb lining samples all show a fertile and receptive environment. Egg reserve remains high and my FS says no problem with quality looking at first cycle results. Initial DNA tests show no problems. What could possibly be stopping us from getting pregnant when we have sperm fertilising eggs and embryos getting put in the right place? 🤣 Seems like all the hard work is being done for it!

I am still waiting for the full DNA sequencing of myself which means that instead of starting my 2nd cycle after my next peroid, it will be the month after. Which is a bummer. But my FS said that we've spent buckets on the testing so it makes sense to get all the results before starting the 2nd cycle. I understand why he won't do the cycle at the initial date he indicated. He says to try naturally as hubby's sperm count is up again and it could be potentially possible for natural conception.

This month I am having my hormones tracked each day via blood test. All perfectly normal so far. So what other tests should I be trying? Do you lovely ladies have any suggestions? I asked about steroids but my FS said I don't need them, my results indicate they won't add anything and the side-effects are bad and could actually impact my fertility. I am allowed to take baby aspirin starting after the next transfer since no side effects and maybe a tiny benefit if only placebo.

Essentially, my FS has no idea why I am having issues with fertility. He is putting it down to bad luck and a numbers game so to keep trying. Which makes me a bit frustrated. If you cant find the problem you can't fix it. 😳

Where do I go from here? Hubby is getting some genetic testing done but is there more for him to get tested? It would make a change to see him in the hot seat! 🤭🤫

Wow, it sounds like you have a really thorough and helpful FS! I don't know if there's anything else you could do I'm afraid, but I must say it sounds like your FS has everything under control!

Unfortunately I think it is just a numbers game (so frustrating!) but at least you can take comfort in the fact that everything else is looking good, which hopefully increases your chances of it happening for you. Best of luck! 🍀

We didn’t do half as many tests as you, but did do some and all came back ok - no reason the doctors could find - just put it down to luck, we did get there in the end! Third transfer worked for us (from second IVF cycle).... good luck 🤞 ☺️

Congratulations! That is such awesome news! Our FS said that if his patients are going to fall pregnant it works on the first cycle or the third cycle! Didn't make me feel very positive about heading into the SECOND cycle but your story shows me it can happen! That makes me feel a lot better! Thank you! Second cycle and 4th transfer here we come! :D Embryos willing - we will be doing double transfers from now on. I told him that we wanted two babies and that if we were lucky enough to get one in the upcoming cycles...that it would mean we would be back in a year to keep trying for a second! Twins would be a blessing and keep me from coming back to his office at a later date! LOL He told me double transfers it would be going forward. I start to think he wants me in his rear view mirror just as I much as I want IVF behind me because I'll be in the thick of motherhood! :D

Good luck and so much baby dust to everyone! xxxx

Haha, I would have loved twins!! would definitely like two.... we only ever went for single transfers cause we only got 2 blastocysts from each cycle so wanted to be cautious with them.... we’re now trying for a sibling, our FET didn’t work so it’s off to start all over.... 🤞 x

Dear Belangalo, are there any emotional blockages that might be holding you back? This is something I have been working on, and fertility hypnotherapy is incredibly useful. 💕book: The mind-body fertility connection by James Schwartz is very good.

I don't have a real lot of understanding in how it would work but I am willing to give anything a try so I will look into it. Thank you for your suggestion :)
