Hi Ladies,

#longpostalert

I want to write my story here so I feel better putting it all out of my heart. I have been TTC since 2013 and after 4 years and 3 rounds of IVF I fell pregnant in 2017 to be blessed with a baby girl in 2018. I was 33 when I became a first time mother.

Now I wan to have a 2nd child as a sibling for my daughter and reached out to the IVF clinic trying to be positive. After 6months of wait in 2020 and 2 rounds of IVF I have been diagnosed with perimenopause. I have been diagnosed with mild endometriosis and having a low AmH of 2.5 but they have found some follicles which means that I am not suitable for IVF and have been discontinued from the IVF plan.

It’s very heartbreaking but the doctor has said that by taking HRT therapy I have a 10percent chances of falling pregnant naturally which I have given up.

I am having sleep problems and have anxiety as well as depression and sometimes mild migraines which has affected my life quality a lil bit. Trying to to Yoga and meditation to calm myself but some days are good and some days are bad.

Has anybody been diagnosed with peri menopause and fallen pregnant after HRT therapy? Has HRT therapy helped you with sleep problems?

With Amh of 2.5, and some follicles, I don’t understand why that writes off ivf for you? Maybe natural ivf or natural modified ivf? Do you know if you are ovulating?

And it’s not an easy answer but donor eggs are also an option, but it’s a big step to consider. X

My husband is totally not interested in using donor eggs and it's offcourse too much to think about.Where can I get more info about natural IVF and naturally modified IVF?

Yes I'm still ovulating because we had a fertilized egg from my 1st IVF cycle in September 2020 which is not too long ago I can say

I’ll message you, due to not being allowed to mention here. I have amh of 2.7 ish and have concieved lots of times (turns out they were probably all in my ruined tube) and in natural modified ivf I got more eggs than I did from high dose drugs. (One round I got 6 eggs).

My baseline afc was always between 7 and 11.

Hi Orla, I know this is an old thread but would you be happy to share the details with me too, through DM? I'm starting HRT soon and have a similar issue to BecomeMommy. Thank you! x

Hi lovely, I'm so sorry, its so hard. I was never officially diagnosed but knew I was heading towards perimenopause. My AMH approx 2 years ago was 2.7 I was 36. My periods got shorter and lighter..I would bleed for practically a day. I only had 3 follicles at start of cycle etc. I no longer got any discharge around ovulation ( sorry Tmi !!)My ivf failed and only got pregnant naturally once in years that ended at 6 weeks. Consultant said we wouldn't get pregnant naturally ( husband also had terrible sperm! ) I was in such a hole. but! I decided for the first time in years to actually believe I could get pregnant, started fertility yoga and wearing a harimaki. Took a ridiculous amount of supplements. To my absolute shock got naturally pregnant last September and am currently 29 weeks pregnant with what I can only describe as a absolute miracle .

Please dont give up! Wishing you all the luck and baby dust ..it is definitely possible to conceive when everything seems against you! Xxxx

My son's girlfriend had an etopic pregnancy last year and has now been told that she has early menopause but she is still ovulating. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I didn't do any fertility yoga as such and just taking oestrogen progesterone supplements. It's been better to help my sleep quality since past 3 months although I haven't gotten pregnant 🙃. So can't help you on that either. But if you Google there are many yoga videos for fertility.

I wish you all the best
