7 days post 5dt - negative test 💔

Hi Everyone,

Just looking for some advice really! I think it’s game over for this round of Icsi (we only had one to transfer, so overall a naff cycle) and I started spotting last night. Took a test this morning and unsurprisingly negative.

Would you bother with continuing with the lovely cyclogest until official test day or accept defeat and move on?

Don't stop taking your medications I saw many times (in others experiences) when embryo implanted very late, don't give up just yet. I understand that you are very disappointed and I experienced that as well, when I saw that line was fading away first thing that I had in my mind was to stop the medications. OTD it is there for a reason and our doctors know better than us, so please listen to them. I hope you will have a different result in few days 🤞❤️🤗

Thanks for replying! The meds just seem a bit pointless now but I hear what you’re saying and that things can change over the course of a week. Xx

This sounds like something I might post!!But 7days is too early. The spotting might be implantation. Definitely continue the cyclogest. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for us all xxxxx

I’ve actually been pretty good with resisting the old pregnancy test kit it’s just with spotting last night and this morning I thought I’d test.My boobs feel different today too. They were pretty sore at the start now just huge 🙈

I’ll keep up with the meds but have accepted this wasn’t our go. If we have a miracle next week then brilliant.

And best of luck to you too hoping. This is such a challenging process and I wish that none of us had to endure it xx

I’m in the same position! In the past I’ve been good at never testing early, but this time caved in on 7dt5dt and got a BFN. But definitely continuing with the meds till OTD, though some women get early results lots of sources say it’s normal for a hpt to not pick anything up till at least 10dpt.... it’s super hard but I’m trying to keep optimistic that there’s still hope 😬🤞🤞 it’s our last frostie so if it’s a no we have to start all over again.... 😔

If you don’t mind me asking when is your OTD? Hun keep taking your medication as it could be an implantation bleeding so stay positive!!! I think you may have tested too early as the hcg doubles every day! So ensure you wait a good 2 weeks before testing! I had my 3dt on Monday and I’m also sitting around and waiting till the 6th of April! It is crazy xxx

I would definitely carry on until OTD. I was in a similar situation recently where I was testing daily and I knew it was BFN and although I did have moments thinking why am I poking things up my bits (?!) overall I felt better knowing I’d followed the protocol to the letter. Also, at 7dp it is still early and potentially things could change in the next 2-3 days. Big hugs xxx

Thanks ladies 💗I’ve been pretty good this round with resisting the testing, it’s just the bleeding that prompted me to do the dreaded dip stick!!

My OTD is the 2nd. I know in my heart of hearts we’re out this time but I’ll stick with the meds just in case.

We have a plan B, so I can kind of get my head around it all even though it’s beyond disappointing.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and wishing all of you all the luck for your BFP’s!! Xx
