is it safe to take paracetamol after embryo transfer?
Hi hun, yes paracetamol is safe to take, even in pregnancy. I took it twice in early pregnancy and all was fine. Don’t worry about your symptoms, they may be there or not doesn’t really mean anything. Try to stay calm and good luck 🤞🏻 🍀x
Yes paracetamol is fine to take, won’t affect anything
are you sure? why do you say so?
My clinic said I could take paracetamol during the tww and during pregnancy. Hope that helps and good luck for OTD xx
im very worried
Try not to worry to much, could you speak to your clinic to reassure yourself if it’s still bothering you. I have taken it twice, once in the tww and once the other day. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and baby looks healthy.Try not to overthink things too much and just keep relaxed - I know it’s incredibly difficult in your tww x
i already ask my doctor she said its okay,.. i freaked out because the symptoms i felt before taking paracetamol like sore boobs, headache cramping and spotting are gone.. and i expected that sore nipples will at least still continue at this moment. i feel normal symptomless and it feels me worried as i think im out already
I was told I could take Paracetamol as well if needed from the nurses at my clinic. I ended up not needing it, but if I did, I would have been ok to take it.
I know it is easier said than done - but a nurse told me something that actually did help me before I left after my ET - that there was nothing I could do wrong now, it was up to nature and out of my control. (Which is a very hard thing to accept I know 🥰) So she told me to try not stress about what I ate and what I did .. but to avoid very strenuous exercise. She told me to keep active, hydrated and have my normal diet (minus the things to avoid in pregnancy anyway😉) and I was also told ok to take Lactulose or Paracetamol if needed as I was struggling so much after I started progesterone.
I just wanted to wish you all the best in your 2ww - I got everything crossed for you 🥰 Podcasts, mindfulness apps (meditation), jigsaw puzzles, Netflix, paint by numbers and books helped me during this wait! 🤞
i miscarried/chemical during 2nd transfer and this is my last embryo... im super worried because i take paracetamol during the implantation. im so sure it was implantation cramps. before i take it i ask my doctor and she said its okay but as i googled it, i read some article it can affect the process... 😢😭
Oh, I can only try imagine the worry, so I am sorry you are going through this and I just wish there would be a guarantee for us all. I know how that feeling of wanting something so badly feels like.. Infertility is full of worry. I feel pretty sure Paracetamol would have such a low risk however - if any.. and if it really did affect it, every fertility clinic would be warning us all not to take it - they want to have success too! I am sure you do already, but make sure your sources are good, trusted sources if you look things up 🥰Hopefully there is sunshine where you are too and you can enjoy some fresh air today! Xoxo
I’ve always been told to take only paracetamol at that stage. It’s fine, just no nsaids eg ibuprofen and no anti histamines. If it was a problem we’d be told about it. Don’t worry! X
I had quite bad cramps during implantation after transfer and took paracetamol. It's OK and doesn't affect anything. I rang the clinic and checked. You will be fine. I also had days were I felt completely normal and all the symptoms were gone but they come and go this early so really try not to worry.
really? what day after transfer did u feel cramping and took paracetamol?
did u get bfp?
Felt some short cramping on the first night and then it kicked off in the evening of 3DP 5DT. It was on and off. One day I would be fine and then one day cramps like period pains (I get quite bad ones) and lots of aches in my hips and lower back. I had to go lie down a few times and took paracetamol about 4 days during my 2ww. I got a very clear BFP yesterday on my OTD. If I could go back in time and tell myself to calm down I would. What will happen is pretty much decided already. Look after yourself, cut yourself some slack and really try not to worry.
